New Chumby One Internet Clock Radio Goes On Sale For $99.95
Chumby Industries today released the new chumby one, a new Wi-Fi connected Internet clock radio.
The device joins the original chumby, now called the chumby classic introduced in 2006.
The new chumby one is based on technology similar to the original chumby device. New features for the chumby one include: ABS plastic casing rather than Italian leather, a battery option (using a standard rechargeable lithium ion battery), an FM radio tuner, and a volume knob.
Like the classic, the chumby one offers more than 1,500 applications in 30 different categories – ranging from music and podcasts, to news and entertainment gossip, to video clips and sports scores. Content is available from well-known media partners including: Pandora Radio, SHOUTcast, The Weather Channel, CBS, MTV Networks, and The New York Times. Users can monitor their social networks like Facebook and Twitter, view and share their photos from sites like Flickr and Photobucket, watch sports clips, play games, or choose from more than 200 different clock applications to display on the touchscreen device. In addition, the Linux computer powering this “clock radio” allows for a highly configurable alarm system and powerful customization options.

Gift Tip 9: Logitech Squeezebox Radio
The Logitech Squeezebox Radio is designed to be simple and in sync with the
user’s home network for Internet radio and DRM-free iTunes collections. The Logitech Squeezebox Radio looks to pack most of the functionality of
the Boom into an even smaller package; that means you can stream your MP3
collections, plus thousands of internet radio stations and music services like
Rhapsody, Napster, Pandora, Sirius, and Last.fm. It looks more appealing than
the Boom with the addition of the color screen and the capability to display
album art, artist/track information, and Flickr slideshows.

iHome iP88 Dual Dock Clock Radio & Alarm System for iPhone Launches
I have an iPod alarm clock on the side of my bed. I used it to charge my original iPhone and now I use it to charge my iPhone 3G S. I gave my son my old iPhone to use as a portable game console. iHome has announced a new alarm clock for the bedside that has dual iPod docks called the iP88. The docks can charge and play music from two different iPhones or iPods at once. Any dockable iPod will work with the clock and it includes adapters for the thinner iPods that need smaller slots. Read more

Radio Shack Changes Name, Panders to Hobos
When I think of shacks, I think of tiny aluminum-and-particle-board shelters assembled by people of questionable competence in order to house meth labs or illicit distilling operations. Maybe it's just my southern upbringing talking, but the first image that 'shack' brings to mind isn't of a high-end electronics store. As electronista reports, Radio Shack thinks most people will feel differently.
They're rebranding all of their retail outlets this week as 'The Shack'. All Shacks will be making changes to their displays this week to notify customers of the change. Radio Shack corporate expects all store signs to be updated before the year's end.

RadioShack isn’t exactly the largest company in the electronic world today. I'm not sure where they got the loot to make this new partnership with Lance Armstrong. The company has announced that in 2010 Lance Armstrong will compete as a Team RadioShack cyclist, runner, and triathlete in events around the world including the 2010 Tour de France.
RadioShack also says that it plans to activate its 35,000 employees and 6,000 stores across the country to raise awareness and funding for the fight against cancer. Armstrong will also compete in the 2010 Tour de France with the RadioShack team. Read more

We are just days away from Apple's anticipated announcement of the new iPhone at the WWDC 2009 on Monday.

In May rumors appeared about some kind of FM capability inside the iPhone. Many phones have supported FM radio for a long time. Apple could be indeed motivated to add FM if they found a way to increase sales on iTunes.
