The photo viewers are perfect for backing your photos up while you are shooting them. Epson announced last week that the P-6000 and P-7000 digital photo viewers have gained new features. Over the weekend the potential name of the Apple Tablet appeared. According to 9to5Mac Bill Keller, Executive Editor of The NY Times, mentioned Apple Slate as an example of devices in a speech. It could be a slip, but it also could mean nothing.
See, back in 2007, the Apple Tablet rumor already existed and some referred to it as Apple Slate. I also found on Google that some people just like to refer to a Tablet computer as a Slate. Read more

The company makes a range of other gear too, including home theater projectors and picturing viewing devices for pro photographers. Epson has announced that it's P-6000 and P-7000 multimedia photo viewers now feature tethering.

The ability to tether to the camera as the photographer is shooting allows them to be able to see their images immediately and save them as they are shot to streamline the backup process. The DSLR camera has to connect to the Epson viewers via a USB cable and the image is automatically saved to the viewer. Read more
