The BlackBerry fans have high hopes on the upcoming Storm 2. The BlackBerry Storm was RIM's first touchscreen BlackBerry that actually sold very well, but got bad reviews. The new BlackBerry Storm 2 is supposed to fix this.

Final Fantasy XIII For Sony PS3 Release Date December 17th In Japan

Square Enix announced the release date of the next Final Fantasy version for the Sony PS3. Final Fantasy XIII will launch on December 17th in Japan.
The Final Fantasy series has sold more than 85 million units worldwide since it was first launched in 1987.

FF fans outside of Japan will have to wait until Sprint 2010 to play FFXIII. Read more

Dead Space: Extraction E3 Trailer, Release Date Out

We've been excited about the Wii's new horror title, Dead Space: Extraction, for a while. Now, thanks to E3, we've got a shiny new trailer and an official, confirmed release date. On Sept. 29, 2009 Dead Space: Extraction will hit retailers all across the country.

The trailer gives us a good idea of what we can expect. We'll have control of more characters than before (although only one at a time) and we'll get to see a wider range of environments than in the last game. This is the prequel, so a lot of questions about what went on before the Ishimura got infected will be answered. We'll get to play both on the overrun mining colony, and in space around the Ishimura.

Zune Release Date Leak: September 5th?

Ever since we heard about the Zune HD we've been scouring the Internet for every single rumor we could find. Microsoft's kept most of the details under fairly heavy wrap, but a few strategic leaks have gone out. One of them comes from Paul Thurott, a Windows expert who Engadget considers reputable.

Mr. Thurott claims that he has been told that the Zune HD will be coming to stores on September 5th. Microsoft stated before that the HD would be released in the Fall, so this rumor does gel with what we know already. It's possible Microsoft let this little tidbit out through Mr. Thurrott in order to drive up a little extra anticipation for their new gadget. September 5th is just far enough out to give consumers time to scrape together a few hundred bucks for a new toy.

Next Harry Potter Video Game Release Date Set.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the video game, will be released in North America on June 30th of this year. Like most video games based off of movies (based off of books), the game will be hitting the market a little earlier than the feature film.

The Half-Blood Prince game will be released for the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii, the PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation 2. There will also be a PC version of the game, as well as mobile, PSP, and DS versions. Mac users won't be left out either; just this once Electronic Arts loves you too and will be releasing an Apple compatible version of Half Blood Prince on the 30th as well.

The release of the Palm Pre draws closer and more evidence actually supports the June 7th release date. The Best Buy inventory screens showing the Palm Pre accessories with a in-stock date of May 10th got updated according to Engadget to June 7th.
Boy Genius Report on the other hand just reports about an apparently solid rumor that Sprint and Palm will make a big announcement in the Wall Street Journal on May 19th. Read more

EA Changes Release Date for Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

The Nintendo Wii is a fantastic platform for sports games. In fact, the Wii is the only platform that I will even consider sports games on. I really like golf games on the Wii, and I am not even a golfer. EA has announced that its Wii titles Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis are going to hit store shelves a week sooner than originally announced.

Both of the games will be on store shelves on June 8th in America. Another cool feature of Tiger Wood PGA Tour 10 is that it will come packaged with the Wii Motion Plus accessory in America and Europe. Read more

Surprise! More Palm Pre Release Date Rumors

The Palm Pre is slated for release on June 7th, at least that’s what is being reported on the Sprint Gurus forum where an administrator apparently got their hands on a spreadsheet detailing the release dates of all Sprint phone in alpha/beta testing stages. In the posting, the administrator states, "For those asking about the Pre, there are 2 release windows, one is around 6/7/09 - the other I cannot say much on," but the screenshot of the spreadsheet contains no such information.

Earlier rumors had put the release date at April 30th and May 17th.

Apple just announced the dates for the WWDC 2009 developer conference. As predicted before the WWDC 09 will take place on June 8th until June 12th and the hot two topics are iPhone 3.0 OS and OS X Snow Leopard.

OS X Snow Leopard Release Date on June 8th?

The next OS X Snow Leopard was previewed by Apple already almost a year ago at the WWDC 08. It is expected that Apple will launch Snow Leopard this summer. The Baltimore Sun (Via CrunchGear) predicts now June 8th as the release date of Snow Leopard. The reasoning behind this date is that the WWDC 09 could take place at the Moscone Center in SF from June 6th to June 12th. Read more

Samsung Omnia Release Date and Price on Verizon unearthed

The Samsung Omnia is the salvation for Windows Mobile fans that cannot stand the BlackBerry Storm and the Apple iPhone. BGR reports today that their sources tell them that Verizon will start shipping the Samsung Omnia touchscreen Windows smartphone as early as November 26th.

Update: Verizon Samsung Omnia ships now

Verizon Stores are supposed to get display units and stock by December 8th.
The price for the Verizon Omnia is said to be $249.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate and 2 year contract. Read more

Rockstar Games Sets Release Date for Midnight Club: Los Angeles

Rockstar Games has announced the release date for the latest title in the Midnight Club franchise called Midnight Club: Los Angeles. The game will be available on the Xbox and PS3 and a Midnight Club: LA remix version will hit the PSP.

Mass Effect Release Date Announced for PC

We have talked about Mass Effect before here at I4U. The game made a huge splash when it was released last year as an Xbox 360 exclusive title. We reported a few weeks ago that Mass Effect was coming to the PC in May.

Yesterday EA released the exact launch date for the PC version of the game. Mass Effect for the PC will be available on May 6th. EA says that the PC version will introduce new features to make it more Pc friendly and possibly get owners of the Xbox 360 version to spring for the PC version as well. Read more

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Gets Release Date

Fans of the film franchise X-Men will be glad to hear that the spin-off Wolverine film titled X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been given the green light and a release date of May 1, 2009. Hugh Jackman will reprise his role of Wolverine and the director is Gavin Hood.

The film is set to begin shooting later this year. Live Schreiber is reported to be in final talks to play the younger William Stryker. Read more

Samsung BDP-UP5000 Blu-ray and HD DVD Player Release Date

Samsung said in Germany at a IFA preparation event that they will ship the dual HD player BDP-UP5000 in October or November.

Samsung announced the Blu-ray and HD-DVD player BDP-UP5000 already in April.

LG got lots of attention for the first dual HD player BH100, when they announced it at the CES 2007. The only problem is still that the price of about $1,000 is way to high.

As long as you can buy a HD DVD player and a Blu-ray player together for less money a hybrid HD player is just not worth it, especially because it is the first generation of such a player. Read more

Meccano Spyke Robot Photos and Release Date

Meccano just informed us that the release date for their very cool wi-fi and camera enabled robot kit Spyke is scheduled for release in September for Europe and October for the US.

This could be the first darn robot that Europe is getting before the United States and Japan. Why? Because Spike is a French robot. The Spyke robot is going to be sold (why ever, I hate double branding) under the Erector brand in the United States.

Nintendo DS Lite Gets Euro Price, Release Date

Nintendo of Europe today announced a release date for their newest handheld system, the Nintendo DS Lite. It will be available for European customers on June 23, 2006.

The DS Lite, which is scheduled to launch on June 11 in the United States, is a sleeker, more compact version of the Nintendo DS.
