Sony Rolly ships in U.S.
Sony announces that their funky music gadget Rolly is now available in the United States. Sony introduced the Sony Rolly in Japan in September 2007.
The palm-sized, egg-shaped device rolls and spins like it’s dancing to the music.

Sony unveals a black Sony Rolly blinking and dancing loudspeaker.
Additionally Rolly owners can now customize the "arms" of their Rolly with different colors. I see already Japanese School girls sitting in a coffee and letting their customized Rollys battle on the table. To share cool Rolly moves, Sony setup the Motion Park site. The moves of the Rolly can be customized as well with the Motion Editor software.

unlock hacks. Apple did say though this week that they

iPhones. On Tuesday Apple will finally announce the

Sony Rolly available for Pre-Order
Sony announced the wacky Rolly music gadget in Japan on Monday. Japanese gadget exporter Audio Cubes started taking pre-orders for customers outside of Japan which is the only place the Rolly is offered.
Audio Cubes sells the Sony Rolly SEP-10BT for $449. Rolly starts to ship on September 29th.

New Sony Rolly
Sony officially announced today the Rolly music gadget in Japan. A teaser for the mysterious egg-shaped device appeared end of August.
Sony describes Rolly (SEP-10BT) as a combination of robot and sound technologies. Rolly offers users a new way of interacting with consumer electronics.
Rolly only has a power button and a play button. All other functions are done by twisting or rolling the gadget. Rolly can also move to the played music.

Sony Rolly Video Leaked
Sony's strange viral video blog marketing about the mysterious Sony Rolly audio player has been cut short by a leaked video on Engadget.
The video shows a guy performing weird dance moves that 'communicate' with the Rolly player. It looks like the Sony Rolly can literally roll around to the beats of the music.
Colorful light effects and flapping things on the side complete the weirdest audio player I have seen so far.

Sony Rolly is supposed to be released in September. Sony fell for the stupid viral teasing, and supposedly community building marketing crap to introduce Rolly. No details have been revealed so far on what Rolly is.
Sony launched a site named Rolly Show, which features short weird video sequences. The second site is the Rolly Show blog, where we supposedly will learn more and more details about Sony's new player.
