Walmart is officially releasing their Black Friday 2009 Ad on November 23rd. CNN Money apparently got Walmart to reveal some deals from the Walmart Black Friday 2009 ad six days early.

In this just published CNN Money report Walmart spokeswoman Tara Raddohl unveils that a Sanyo 50-inch plasma 720p HDTV for $598, a Magnavox Blu-ray player for $78, and a Tom Tom GPS for $59 will be amongst the Walmart Black Friday 2009 deals.

Palm issues a new webOS 1.3.1 release for the Palm Pre and the new Palm Pixi which will be launching tomorrow.
The new webOS 1.3.1 mainly bring Yahoo! service integration into Palm Synergy.
According to the Palm Blog your Yahoo! information (such as contacts and calendar events, and messaging) is now integrated with Palm Synergy, along with info from your Outlook EAS, Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn accounts. If you use Yahoo! to manage your contacts and calendar events, it will be integrated into your Contacts and Calendar applications on your Palm Pre. On Sprint, you can also now use Yahoo! IM in the webOS Messaging app.

Ericsson Rachel Teaser Released, Announcement Tuesday

The Motorola Droid is currently one of, if not the, most powerful smartphones in the world. But it will soon be joined at that lofty peak by another Android smartphone, this one from Ericsson. The Xperia X3 or 'Rachel' is said to be one monster of a smartphone, with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 8 MP camera, and 4.1” OLED touchscreen. We'll know for certain if those leaked specs are correct on next Tuesday, November 3rd.

While we wait for our dreams to come true, Ericsson has posted a video on their Youtube stream to tide us over. When I came across it this morning I felt a momentary tinge of excitement that Ericsson had posted up an in-use video. Sadly, this clip is just some eye-candy for smartphone lovers. I have to say, the Rachel is looking mighty hot.

Flies Used In Awesome Airplane Banner Promotion

The Frankfurt Book Fair is long over, but besides eBook Readers there were actual flies carrying banners filling the halls.

Well known German ad agency Jung von Matt/Neckar released 200 flies with attached banners to promote the Eichborn publisher. Eichborn has a fly in their logo, so it was not that far fetched, but as you can see in the video below the flies look quite awesome.

I first thought this was a bit cruel, but the ultra-light banners were attached to the flies with natural wax and after a short time the banner dropped off by itself. Jung von Matt said that no fly was harmed.

A leaked application on Bluetooth.org discovered by French GenerationMP3, via DAP Review, mentions a device with the name Cowon W2 and Intel Atom design.

To know what products companies will release next you need to monitor all kinds of channels. For a while I have had the Lenovo Flickr account in my Update Scanner app on Firefox. Today a photo of the ThinkCentre All-In-One PC appeared.
The ThinkCentre All-In-One PC actually rivals the HP TouchSmart line in style. We do not know anything else as Lenovo did not announce any specifications for this All-In-One. Does it have a touchscreen? We do not know. Read more

Magic Mouse Software Updates Released

Good news, Mac users. Apple has released a software update that allows the multitouch capabilities of the Magic Mouse. The update, (AppleInsider) which is out for both Leopard and Snow Leopard, is 64 mb in size for Leopard, and 36 mb in size for Snow Leopard.

MSI eBook Reader Based On Nvidia Tegra Coming 2010

eBook readers are soon going to be a standard offering by computer makers. According to Digitimes, MSI chairman Joseph Hsu said that MSI is currently in development of a Nvidia Tegra powered eReader.
Further details about the MSI eBook reader are supposed to be revealed in the first half of 2010. I assume we will see at least a glimpse of the MSI eBook reader at the CES 2010.

The Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet started shipping earlier this month. Back then only the 160GB and the 32GB Archos 5 Android players were available. Now the top of the line 500GB Archos 5 Android ships as well for $499.99 from Amazon.com.

Over the last days Archos 5 Android users reported issues with their device and Amazon actually stopped offering the 160GB model due to customer reports. Read more

Barnes & Noble To Make Android-Based E-Reader

Put on your rumor hats, board the rumor train, and buckle on your safety belts; we've got some juicy tech gossip for you that's just a little out there. Gizmodo has heard rumors from an undisclosed source that the upcoming Barnes & Noble E-Reader will run off of the Android OS. The rumor supposedly comes from someone who develops apps for Barnes & Noble.

Whether or not the rumor is true, an Android-run E-Reader is a fantastic idea. Most of the devices currently on the market (even the Kindle, in my opinion) have UIs that are sub-par at best, and godawful at worst. Any E-Reader running Android would have to seriously customize the OS, but it'd still offer a better user experience than anything else on the market.

Samsung sees Mobile WiMAX Release 2 being based on IEEE 802.16m. IEEE 802.16m is one of the major candidates for IMT-Advanced technologies by ITU. Among many enhancements, IEEE 802.16m systems can provide four times faster data speed than the current Mobile WiMAX Release 1 based on IEEE 802.16e technology. Palm released the new webOS 1.2.0 update with several improvements and bug fixes.
The new features of webOS 1.2.0 include LinkedIn contact syncing with Palm Synergy, support for heterogeneous EAS policies, Email Keyword filter, file download in browser, Amazon MP3 Store access via Wifi and 3G, podcast pause and resume and app purchasing. There is no word on if the new webOS 1.2.0 will give you back your iTunes syncing. My guess is that it is never coming back again. Read more

Laser Based Anti-Paparazzi Shield Installed on Abramovich's New Yacht Eclipse

Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich has installed a laser based anti-paparazzi shield on his new record breaking mega yacht - the Eclipse.
The exact size of the Eclipse is not known yet, but it is supposed to be the largest private yacht of all time. Besides tons of high tech features the anti-paparazzi shield is possibly the most unique one.

The Times reports that infrared lasers detect the electronic light sensors in nearby cameras (CCDs). When the anti-paparazzi shield detects a camera it sends a light beam at the camera, making it impossible to take a photo. Read more

Apple releases iTunes 9 today. As rumored Apple is going to release a new iTunes version with iTunes 9 today.
The new iTunes 9 will do home computer sharing, improve syncing and management of iPhone apps and add Genius DJ playlists. iTunes 9 now also offers a thing called iTunes LP, which is the rumored Cocktail stuff.
