Saitek Obsidian Scroll Weirdness
After I posted the news about the launch of the Saitek Obsidian here in the states yesterday I called up the good folks at Saitek and they sent one out to me overnight. I have been sitting here using it for most of the day and so far I’m not so sue I like the touch scroll portion.
It’s weird, I mean with far too much regularity for my liking the pages does a little happy dance up and down when I am trying to scroll rather than going in one smooth direction. I suspect my fingers are too fat and last leading me to be on a portion of the touch area I don’t need to be. Read more

Saitek Launches Obsidian Mouse in USA
Saitek has some pretty cool gaming peripherals including some rather interesting mice. The supermodel of their mouse lineup is certainly their new Obsidian wireless mouse. This little mouse takes a page from the Logitech G7 book and gives you two battery packs so you can mouse on and on and on.
This alleviates one of the biggest issues I usually have with wireless mice, forgetting to plug the dang things in for recharge. Other than the round shape the other big design change that stands out is the touch-sensitive scroll. No wheel is used to scroll up, down or sideways you simply slide your finger around on the touch sensitive area. Read more
