Sega E.M.A. female Robot is actually WowWee Femisapien Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Yesterday Sega announced the E.M.A. (via CrunchGear ) female robot toy in Japan. Robotsrule points out that this robot is actually made by WowWee and is called Femisapien. The Sega E.M.A. is just adapted for the Japanese market.

The WowWee Femisapien is schedule for a late summer release in the U.S. for $99. Read more

Rumors were running rampant this week when Sega update its trademark on its old school Dreamcast console name. Many thought this was a sure sign that Sega was getting a Dreamcast 2 ready to battle the other console giants.

The trademark covers a wide gamut of products from controllers to the game console itself. It would make more sense to me for Sega to be getting a new line of gaming controllers ready for other manufacturers console gaming systems. Read more

As you can see in the photo this weird gadget is surprisingly stylish.
Leaves will move and the flower petals will flash with different colors when activated. The iSmile can also be used as PC speaker. Depending on the style of music the LCD display shows different smiley faces and expressions.

I stumbled over the Mu-Bot in a Watch Impress (Japanese, More photos) report from the Toy Show. The Mu-Bot is actually offered by Sega Toys in cooperation with Avex Entertainment.

The Mu-Bot's hands are ear phones and the chord can be reeled inside the body of the little figure. It can be worn around the neck (see photo below). It is supposed to come in various colors in December. Read more

The iFish joins the hot selling iDog music dog. As the name implies the iFish has the shape of a fish. Sega's new iFish can move its tail and also 'swim' around on your desk on two wheels. It has 50 built-in 'healing' (ocean sounds, etc.) music tracks. A sensor reacts to movement and generates light effects on the iFish head. Connected to an MP3 player the fish reacts to the beats as the iDog is doing. Read more

The Sega Sound Carrier looks like has a Tamagotchi function (pet mode) integrated besides, games, music games and voice recorder. The device has a small LCD screen and the face plate can be customized. Sega Toys is even offering face plates to print-out on color printers that can be put behind the transparent top.

After the iPod white of the original iDog, a pink version had to come. To "Pink" a gadget is the trend for this holiday season. Just look at the pink RAZR for instance.
Sega already issued a special edition Atmos branded iDog.

Hasbro has a licensing deal with Sega Toys to distribute the iDog in the USA.
The iDog music robot dog competes with the recently introduced iZ from Zizzle.
The Hasbro iDog is available for only $25.99 for pre-order on Amazon.com. The Zizzle iZ pre-order price is $39.99.

The Atmos iDog is only sold at Atmos stores in Japan. I really like the white Sega iDog much better. Not sure if the blue one will be a big seller.

The Sega iDog connects to MP3 players and can be use as a speaker, but it also has sensors to react to users by moving its ears and light up LEDs. Sega introduced the iDog this January.
