Segway Project P.U.M.A. is supposed to be the funny Future of Transportation
Segay unveiled the Project P.U.M.A. (Personal Urban Mobility & Accessibility) today. Segway and General Motors unveiled the P.U.M.A prototype today in New York City in advance of the New York Auto Show.
Segway Project P.U.M.A. is basically a sit-down Segway PT for two people. The PUMA is capable of carrying two passengers up to anywhere between 25 and 35 mph (40 - 56 kph) for anywhere between 25 and 35 miles (40 - 56 km) on a single charge. The Segway PUMA has the maneuverability and advanced control you get through Segway’s use of dynamic stabilization (balancing technology).

Easy-Glider Looks to Knock Segway off as the Geekiest Method of Transport
The Easy-Glider is a new personal transportation device that is looking to take on the Segway in the miniscule geeky transportation device segment. I will say that the Easy-glider looks cool, it reminds me of a robot drawn chariot or rickshaw from Starwars.
The device is electric powered by a 360-watt electric motor with a top speed of 13mph and a range of 10-15 miles. Pricing in Europe is said to be about $1300, which seems a bit steep to me. Read more

New Segway i2 and x2 are Official
Still a rumor yesterday, today Segway already published details and photos of their new Segway i2 and cross country model x2 on their site.
The new Segway i2 personal transporter (photo) features Segway's new LeanSteer technology as well as the new InfoKey controller.
LeanSteer frame and handlebar tilt left and right in response to your body's natural inclination to lean in the direction you want to travel. I suppose this makes it to ride a Segway even easier.
The wireless InfoKey monitors battery, speed and distance as well as protect your Segway i2 from getting stolen.
