Shuttle, known for their small form factor (SFF) computers is rumored by Digitimes to enter the notebook market.
The report also claims that Shuttle would recruit a notebook team away from Elitegroup Computer Systems. ECS dismissed this information.

Windows 7 Runs on Shuttle Barebones
Most of you are probably familiar with the name Shuttle. The company makes some very slick and sexy small form factor computers and other barebones machines. Shuttle announced today that it has certified its products as compatible with the coming Windows OS.
Windows 7 compatibility means that users can run both the beta versions of Windows 7 already available and can upgrade their machines to full Windows 7 copies when they ship in October. Shuttle says that its team has conducted tests of several different Shuttle machines with Windows 7 Ultimate RTM. Read more

Shuttle Presents X50 All-in-One Barebone
If you like the all-in-one PCs that have been hitting the market in droves this year, Shuttle has one with a new wrinkle you might like. The X50 all-in-one barebone PC is now available. The kit includes the touch-screen all-in-one chassis and allows the user to choose storage and OS.
The barebone kit runs an Intel Atom 330 dual-core CPU, and has a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, memory card reader, WLAN, and a 65-watt PSU. Read more

Shuttle Unveils ES Nettops
Shuttle is all set to officially launch its new Nettop computers at Computex next month. The machines are the XS92 and the XS92F. Both of the nettops will be powered by the VIA Nano CPU. The machines are packaged inside chassis' that are smaller than Shuttle's typically tiny SFF machines.
The XS92F will get the VIA Nano L-series processors while the XS92 gets the L2100 or L22000 Nano running at 1.8GHz or 1.6GHz. Other specs like price, storage, and Ram are unknown. Read more

NASA Shuttle Commander Tweets Answers from Space
If you are one of the throngs of Twitter fans, NASA shuttle commander Mark Polansky, the commander of the shuttle mission scheduled to launch in June, will be answering questions from space using Twitter. Right now Polansky is sharing Tweets about training and the flight on Twitter.
Polansky will be the commander of shuttle flight STS-127 aboard the Endeavour. The mission is expected to leave the Earth on June 13th to deliver the final section of the Japanese laboratory module and to post tweets about the crews training. Read more

Shuttle Announces X270V Linux Nettop
Shuttle has unveiled its latest small form factor system running Linux called the X270V. The small computer is a barebones machine using the Intel Atom platform. The CPU used in the machine is the dual-core Atom 330.
The clock frequency for the CPU is 1.6GHz and the system supports up to 2GB of RAM. The machine will run openSUSE version 11. Other features of the machine includes 6-channel audio, VGA and DVI out. Read more

Shuttle shows Off Complete Mini PC with DVB-S tuner
Shuttle is better known for its full line of small form factor barebones computers that require the buyer to add additional hardware to complete the computer. However, the company has announced a new complete SFF computer called the H7 4500H today.
The machine features Windows Vista and has an integrated DVB-S TV tuner card that allows time shifting of TV programs and offers an electronic program guide along with recording functions. Connectivity options on the system include HDMI, SPDIF, eSATA, FireWire, and six USB ports. Read more

Shuttle Debuts Portable All-in-One PC
When I hear the name Shuttle, I think of bare bones small form factor machines that you need to add your own CPU and other hardware to. Shuttle has announced a new machine that is complete and ready to run called the X50.
The X50 is an odd machine that takes an all-in-one design and makes it portable. The device has a 15.6-inch screen that can be used with a stylus or a finger. The system has an integrated 1.3MP webcam and a very slim 36mm profile. Read more

Shuttle Announces XPC Barebone for Phenom II CPUs
Earlier this week Shuttle announced a new high-end XPC small form factor gaming computer that supports the new Intel Core i7 CPUs and the X58 chipset. Shuttle has now announced a SFF machine that supports the rival AMD Phenom II CPUs.
Rather than a fully new computer, Shuttle is offering a new BIOS update that enables compatibility for the new 45nm Phenom II parts on the XPC SN78SH7. The new BIOS means that the system can support AM2, AM2+ and the new Phenom II X4 940 and 920 quad core processors. Read more

Shuttle Unveils Mini-PC Core i7 Barebone System
Shuttle has announced a new barebones small form factor computer supporting the new Intel Core i7 processors called the Shuttle XPC SX58H7. The little computer uses the Intel X58 chipset with an ICH10R southbridge.
The new machine is the flagship Shuttle gaming system and packs all of the performance of the new Intel platform into a case 32.5 x 20.8 x 19cm in size. The system offers dual PCI-E 2.0 x 16 slots for dual single slot graphics cards or a single dual slot card. Read more

No space? Check out the tiny Shuttle X2700N PC that is so small that you can hide it almost anywhere. Like the Asus Eee Box the Shuttle X2700N runs on an Intel Atom CPU.
Measurements of the Shuttle Atom PC are 9.8" x 7.3" x 2.8". The Shuttle X2700N appeals to Windows avoiders as it runs Foresight Linux.

Shuttle X27D Barebone Features Intel Atom 330 Dual Core CPU
Shuttle has announced its latest barebone computer system called the X27D. This barebone machine is built around the Intel Atom 330 dual-core CPU and is the first shuttle system to use the Atom processor.
The machine uses an Intel 945GC Express chipset and the system is passively cooled thanks to the Atom CPU. The machine is about 7cm in height and features Gigabit LAN, 6ch audio, two monitor connectors, SATA and support for up to 2GB of RAM. Power for the machine comes from an external 60W PSU. The price for the system is EUR 205 not counting VAT. Read more

Virgin Mobile USA Announces Shuttle Handset
Virgin Mobile USA has announced its latest handset and its first device to use EV-DO connectivity. The handset is called the Shuttle and will be available on September 28th. The handset came to Virgin Mobile after its purchase of Helio.
The handset features Buddy Beacon, Where application, a 1.3-MP camera, 2-inch LCD, video capture, playback and messaging. The handset has an integrated media player with streaming and downloadable music and stereo Bluetooth. The handset will be available with monthly and pay as you go plans. The handset will retail for $79.99. Read more

New Shuttle Barebone Supports DDR3 RAM
Shuttle announced its latest small form factor barebone system today called the Shuttle XPC Barebone SX48P2 Deluxe. The system features the Intel X48 chipset and the ability to run dual-core and quad-core CPUs.
The little PC comes with lots of features including built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a fingerprint reader, USB speed link function and dual heat pipe cooling systems. The X48 chipset supports 45nm CPUs including Extreme editions and has space for up to 8GB of DDR3 1600. Read more

Shuttle AMD AM2+ Mini-PC Barebone Kit
Shuttle has announced its latest small form factor barebones system for AMD AM2+ processors. The new system uses the H7 housing design and is suitable for the newest Phenom processors. Shuttle says the machine has 80channel sound with DTS Connect and Dolby Digital Live! certification.
Sound can be transmitted via an optical SPDIF out socket. Graphics for the system are via DirectX 10 compliant NVIDIA GeForce 8200 that can accelerate HD video. Outputs on the rear include a HDMI 1.3 with HDCP port. The system also has a PCI Express slot for a discrete video card. Read more

NASA Starts Artifact Loan Program with Shuttle Tires
NASA announced a new artifact loan program today that will kick off with the chance for organizations that don’t normally work with NASA to get artifacts on a loan basis. The first loan item will be tires from the main landing gear of the space shuttle fleet. Some of the tires available for loan were even flown on missions.
NASA says that the tires will be made available to proposing organizations best meeting the agency’s goals of education and outreach. NASA has a form on its website for interested organizations to apply for a loan. Read more

Shuttle Announces SFF Blu-ray & HD DVD PC
Shuttle announced a new small form factor PC today called the XPC G5 6801M that features a dual format Blu-ray and HD DVD drive. The machine is powered by an AMD Athlon X2 6000+ and has 2GB of RAM. Storage capacity is 500GB and graphics are handled by ATI HD3450.
The combo optical drive is a LG GGC-H20L and a DVB-T. Analog Hybrid TV tuner is included. Other features include a 25-in-1 card reader, remote control and multi-function front display. The machine runs on Windows Vista Home Premium. Pricing is EUR 1,234 plus VAT. Read more

Shuttle Introduces New SFF Barebones PC for Gamers
Shuttle announced a new small form factor barebones gaming system aimed at gamers today called the XPC P2 3500G. The tiny system is made from aluminum and uses an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor and 4GB of DDR2-800 RAM.
Storage for the system is a single 750GB Samsung SATA drive with a 32MB cache. The system can accommodate the ATI HD 3870 graphics card and integrates a fingerprint scanner for security. Read more

Shuttle Launches New SFF SP35P2 Pro Computer
The Shuttle name is synonymous with small form factor computing. Today shuttle announced a new SFF barebones XPC machine called the SP35P2 Pro, which is the successor to the SD39P2.
The SP35P2 Pro has enough space on the small mainboard for up to 8GB of DDR2-800 RAM. Four SATA2 ports are available enabling RAID functionality and the machine has two eSATA ports on the rear panel. Read more
