New Samsung Slider Phone SGH-D410 revealed

Samsung Germany announces new Slider Phone SGH-D410 before its debut at german CeBit 2004 Computer Trade-Show.

The Samsung SGH-D410 tri-band handset features a move-able VGA Digital Camera which can take photos at a 640x480 resolution. The large 2" color display has 260,000 colors.
The SGH-D410 features MIDP 2.0 for Java applications and java games. The phone also features an email client that supports POP3 and IMAP4-Servers.

Slider phones are pretty hip right now. We reported about the Siemens SL56, LG G5500, Sanyo V801SA and the Kyocera Slider S5 in the past.

Samsung also announced the small SGH-E600 camera flip-phone phone.

LG G5500 GSM Slider Phone Review

Digit-Life reviews the LG G5500 GSM Slider Phone.

Excerpt: "The most interesting peculiarity of the G5500 is its sliding design. The phone thus has two active positions, and in every one you can perfectly handle it. Such design is used for the first time. The Nokia 7650 and Siemens SL55 are built on a similar principle, but the aim is different. Nokia and Siemens hide the keypad, while in the G5500 the whole keypad and even the joystick are available in both slider's positions. There are also Samsung Matrix Phone and Nokia 8850, but the former is from a completely different cohort, while the sliding panel in the latter is just a kind of a flip. The last model with a sliding design is the Nokia 8910/8910i."

New Sanyo V801SA 3G Slider Phone

Vodafone introduces (raw translation) in Japan the New Sanyo V801SA Slider Phone.

The Sanyo V801SA features a 2.2inch screen with 240x320pixels and 260,000 colors. The Phone features a 310,000 pixel digital camera wich takes 640x480 resolution photos. The Phone has two speaker which are enabling stereo sound. The size is about 51x108x26mm, and the weight is about 146g.

New Virgin Mobile MTV Edition Kyocera Slider S5

Virgin Mobile USA a joint venture between Sprint and Virgin Group introduces a MTV branded Mobile Phone.

Virgin Mobile said the MTV phone called Slider V5 *MTV will be made by Japanese cell phone maker Kyocera Corp. and will sell for $159.
The Kyocera Slider V5 MTV Edition (similar design as Siemens SL56) features a full color screen and comes bundled with MTV games and content.
