Sony PRS-700 Reader Review
Since the Amazon Kindle still has a 5-7 week delivery time it is worth while to look at other eBook Readers. Sony announced the new Sony PRS-700 Reader in October 2008.
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the PRS-700 and published a full review.
Quote from the review: "Eyestrain, cramped fingers, sore wrists these are the hallmarks of reading online. In fact, when doing so, usability experts assert that we're not really reading at all, and flip through websites so fast that we barely even register the information in our brains (no skimming this review, please!). An electronic, or "eBook" is supposed to be different, though - it's a relaxed experience more akin to reading an actual printed publication.

Due to some difficulties we had to skip last week's newsletter. We are

starters Nintendo announced a new DS. The
Nintendo DSi
features larger LCD screens and two cameras and can handle music on SD
cards now. The DSi launches in Japan in November and in Spring of 2009 in
the rest of the world.
Sony unveiled a new eBook reader with the
PRS-700.
Nokia launched their first
Touch-screen phone.

Sony PRS-700 eBook Reader unveiled
Sony has announced its 3rd generation digital book reader called the PRS-700. The Sony PRS-700 weighs about ten ounces and is the size of a thin paperback book. The display used on the new PRS-700 reader is a 6-inch unit that offers touch screen capability.
Touch screen capability allows readers to flip pages by sliding a finger across the screen. Readers can also use touch to create search terms within a book and create bookmarks or notes. The book has five pre-set text sizes for comfortable reading and zooming is supported with a finger tap. Read more
