MySpace users Get SightSpeed
MySpace users get a new video chat application today called SightSpeed from SightSpeed Incorporated. SightSpeed says it is the first company to offer integrated video mail, public video posting and free video chat to MySpace members.
The application was built with the new MySpace developer Platform. With the application users can have real time voice chats or threaded video posts where videos are recorded and posted in a chat style. Users would create a video post on a subject and then other members of their friends group could post a video response. Read more

Bumpy ride Home for Soyuz Spacecraft
The Russian Soyuz spacecraft with the Yi So-yeon, South Korea's first astronaut has returned to Earth, but came down 250 miles of course.
The astronauts are safe, but had to endure hihg G-forces on re-entry.
Besides Yi So-yeon, Yuri Malenchenko from Russia and American Peggy Whitson have been on board.

Yahoo!, MySpace, and Google announced the OpenSocial Foundation
Yahoo!, MySpace, and Google today announced they have agreed to form the OpenSocial Foundation to ensure the neutrality and longevity of OpenSocial as an open, community-governed specification for building social applications across the web.
The OpenSocial Foundation will be an independent non-profit entity with a formal intellectual property and governance framework; related assets will be assigned to the new organization by July 1, 2008. The foundation will provide transparency and operational guidelines around technology, documentation, intellectual property, and other issues related to the evolution of the OpenSocial platform, while also ensuring all stakeholders share influence over its future direction.

Sprint announced today that it is the first wireless carrier to offer access to MySpace Mobile on all of its web-enabled phones. Sprint says that this marks the first free direct access to the new MySpace Mobile on all web-enabled Sprint phones.

EA Announces Dead Space for Halloween
EA announced a new survival horror game called Dead Space that will launch this Halloween. The game is set in a science fiction setting and will hit the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 31st. EA says the game is set in the far future as humans travel deep into space looking for natural resources.
The game puts players in the shoes of engineer Isaac Clarke who travels to a space ship to fix the communications and finds that the crew unearthed an alien presence that he has to seal back inside the planet. Read more
