2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder surprisingly good looking
I just stumbled over the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder Roadster and I am quite impressed by it's looks.
I am almost tempted to say that the 2008 Eclipse Spyder is sexier than the BMW Z4. Nothing can touch the already classic Z3 of course in the affordable roadster segment.

Spyker Exotic Cars at the LA Auto Show
Before the LA Auto Show I wasn’t familiar with Spyker and its line of exotic sports cars, but boy am I familiar now. Spyker was nestled in between Bentley, Lamborghini and Aston Martin at the show and I found Spyker’s rides to be more appealing than many of the others on display.
Some of the Spyker cars had a weird rear end that I didn’t care for, they were very large and rounded. To my eyes, it didn't fit in too well with the angular, sculpted lines on the other parts of the car. Read more

Can-Am Spyder Reverse Trike Motorcycle
If you like, the feel of the wind in your hair but like more than two wheels and an old-fashioned trike is a bit to goofy for you Can-am has an option to consider. This is a three-wheel motorcycle but rather than two wheels in the back, there are two in the front and one in the rear.
The guts of the Spyder is a Rotax 998cc engine putting out 106hp connected to a steel frame and riding on a suspension more like a car than a traditional motorcycle. The gauge cluster is a multifunction device, which I would assume means that you get one gauge that can show different things as needed. Read more

Meccano Spyke Robot Photos and Release Date
Meccano just informed us that the release date for their very cool wi-fi and camera enabled robot kit Spyke is scheduled for release in September for Europe and October for the US.
This could be the first darn robot that Europe is getting before the United States and Japan. Why? Because Spike is a French robot. The Spyke robot is going to be sold (why ever, I hate double branding) under the Erector brand in the United States.
We also got several photos from Meccano. See several hi-res photos of Spyke including the Scorpion and Lunar Lander configuration in our Photo Gallery.

The Wi-fi enabled robot comes with a video camera, a microphone, a loudspeaker, MP3 player and 2 motors. Spyke can be used as a VOIP phone and webcam and is compatible with Skype's latest VoIP software - version 3.0 (PC).
With motion sensors Spyke can activate itself when something is happening. This is great for surveillance.

Spyke Wi-Fi Spy Robot Debuts at CES 2007 [Update]
Consumer robots could also be a big topic at the CES 2007. Here is a newcomer. French MECCANO introduces the Spyke robot in the United States under the ERECTOR brand.
The Spyke robot is controlled via a PC over Wi-Fi. Spyke has a webcam and moves on a rubber band. Professional robots can climb stairs with such a drive mechanism.
Such Wi-fi remote control robots with camera are already available in Japan from a couple of companies (e.g.: ZMP's Nuvo). They are marketed as home security robots or pet sitters.
I like these robots. It is fun to try to find your cat in your house while working hard at the office.

The Rock Talks about his SpyHunter Video Game
Digital Trends scored an interview with The Rock talking about his SpyHunter video game role.
Quote:
"We dropped a line to the man with the world's most recognizable raised eyebrow (a.k.a. he who also dared to star in the ill-fated Doom motion picture), about the venture. Here, Johnson shares his passion for gaming and interest in developing mediums, not to mention clarifies who's the bigger chump: Him or fellow muscle-bound, multimillion dollar paycheck-packing videogame junkie Vin Diesel."

The Key Catcher: One More Way For Parents To Spy on Their Kids
Kids these days can't do anything that won't be caught from a tech-savvy parent. You can download software that'll spy on your networked computers. You can get them a phone that will turn you into a virtual private eye. And this gadget can keep tabs on anything that's typed on their keyboard.
The Key Catcher is advertised as just something to use for yourself for your own personal records, but it'll obviously easily end up being used to track every single key stroke that's made on, say, your child's or employee's computer.

MetaGeek Wi-Spy 2.4 GHz Spectrum Analyzer Review
The Tech Lounge reviews the USB MetaGeek Wi-Spy 2.4 GHz Spectrum Analyzer.
Quote:
"Do you have a wireless network? Do you have a cordless phone? Do you own a microwave? Most likely your answer to these questions is yes, which means you probably have interference.
The issue at hand is not whether you have interference, but whether its affects are felt. Although most wireless boxes are able to push through the lower amounts of interference, some people, such as those living in apartments or otherwise deluged with many wireless signals may have problems.
It is with this dilemma in mind that the people at MetaGeek created the Wi-Spy spectrum analyzer.

Krome Spy Windows Smartphone
The Krome Spy Windows PDA phone has HTC Magician written all over it. Although it has a slightly different look it only can be from HTC.
This fact makes the Krome Spy not a new mobile phone, but it is clever marketing from the
Australian company.
The Krome Spy appeared first in April. The Windows smartphone is
available now, says the Krome web site.

New Nokia Spy Phones 6100 and 3310
In December last year the first modified Nokia phone for spying has appeared. A French site is offering now two Nokia Spy Phones at a lower price and one has a new feature.
What is a Spy Phone?
A spy phone is a normal mobile phone that can be called and it silently activates itself. The caller can then hear what happens in the vicinity of the phone.
The spy phone offered in France is an unlocked Nokia 3310 GSM mobile phone, apparently it will not work on US networks. This phone sells for 399 Euros.
What can you do with it?
For instance the spy phone owner can leave the phone on the table when leaving a meeting for a rest room break. He then calls the spy phone and listens to the ongoing conversation. On return the owners negotiating positions may change dramatically.
Another use is to spy on your partner by "forgetting the phone at home".
I wonder when those spy phones will utilize the camera in phones to also get spy video.

Bush using Spy Gadgetry Rumor
Usually politics and gadgets do not mix that well. The speculations and rumors of Bush using a wireless mini cueing system in the first presidential debate are making it into prime news media. German Spiegel magazine (thanks Andreas) for instance has a long article with several potential spy gadgets that can be used for wireless reception with a little nearly invisible ear plug.
The ComTek Communications Technology AP-230 Auto Prompter kit is on of those systems. It is a professional wireless cueing system used mostly i guess in the entertainment industry. More details on ComTek. See also coverage on The Register. The San Jose Mercury has a story on Edwards appearance on Jay Leno talking about Bush running on batteries.

with a range of up to 100 metres/300ft for transitting images to a TV.
This little spy camera (stealth camera) is sold by UK's Gadget specialist IwantOneOfThose for a hefty $658.35.
