Motorola Sholes/Tao To Have New Name+Adobe Flash
First it was the Motorola Sholes. Then it was the Motorola Tao. Now, if Boy Genius's tipsters are correct, it's going to be called the Motorola Droid when it launches on the Verizon Wireless carrier.
There's more cool news too, as well as some bad stuff. It's been confirmed now that the Droid will be the first Google Experience phone with built-in Adobe Flash support. For every smartphone owner who's spent the last few years waiting for mobile Flash support, this is incredibly exciting. Unfortunately, it's also been confirmed that the sweet MotoBlur UI will not run on the Motorola Droid.

Motorola Tao/Sholes Launches Dec 1 On Verizon
Fresh on the heels of this morning's rumor of an imminent Motorola Tao launch, we have information on just when that launch will be. Android and Me received a document from their tip line that describes a new smartphone set to launch on December 1. This new phone has the exact same specs as the Tao, is made by Motorola, and packs the Android OS.
I think it's safe to assume that the Motorola XXX mentioned in the letter is the Tao. Either that, or there's another Moto smartphone with a 3.7" display, high-speed processor, sliding QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, 16 GB of on-board memory, plus room for a 32 GB SD card. The Motorola Tao will be the first Android 2.0 device that packs enough power to show off what that means. This is a smartphone to be excited about.

Motorola Sholes/Tao Hits Next Week?
The Motorola Tao (Aka Sholes) is one of the most hyped-up smartphones in the world right now. By virtue of its high-end hardware and Android OS, it's become quite a popular topic of discussion in tech blogs across the Internet. Now that it's passed FCC testing it could be very close to release. In fact, TheStreet.com says that Verizon plans to launch the device next week.
It's worth noting that The Street is the same site that launched those specious rumors about Verizon dropping the Palm Pre. Keep that in mind when you digest this rumor, but also keep next week's CTIA and MOTODEV conferences (Boy Genius) in mind. The Tao is past due for a launch, and next week does seem like a perfect time for one.
