Tomb Raider: Underworld Now Shipping
The latest entry in the Tomb Raider franchise called Tomb Raider: Underworld is now shipping to stores around the country. The game has shipped for PC, Xbox, PS3, Wii, and Nintendo DS. The title delivers the exploration gameplay we expect for Tomb Raider titles and exotic locations.
Elements of the game include exploration, puzzle solving, and combat as the player journeys to the Mediterranean, Thailand, Mexico, and the Arctic Sea. Laura uncovers proof of the existence of the Norse underworld and the Hammer of Thor. New downloadable chapters for the game will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. Read more

Tomb Raider: Underworld Gets Downloadable Content
Eidos announced that Tomb Raider: Underworld will get downloadable chapters adding six hours of additional gameplay to the game. The catch is that despite the game coming to multiple consoles including the Xbox, Wii, and PS3, the downloadable chapters are Xbox exclusives.
The chapters will include Tomb Raider: Underworld - Beneath the Ashes and Tomb Raider: Underworld - Laura's Shadow. The Ashes chapter takes place after Underworld is finished and adds a new environment to explore with more enemies and secrets. Lara's Shadow adds a new kind of playable character. Beneath the Ashes will be available this Christmas and Shadow will follow in 2009. There is no word on pricing for the chapters. Read more

Tomb Raider: Underworld gets Ship Date
Eidos has announced the ship date for the next Tomb Raider installment called Tomb Raider: Underworld at E3. The game will ship simultaneously for the Xbox, PS3, Wii, PS2, Nintendo DS, and PC. Eidos promises this game will take players on greater challenges than previous Tomb Raider games.
The game centers on Lara Croft finding proof of the hammer of the Norse God Thor that supposedly has the power to crush mountains. The versions for the Wii and DS will have exclusive features not found on the other systems. The Wii version will feature a compressed air gun that allows searching in hidden areas. Read more
