Today Amazon announced its picks for Best Books of 2009. This annual feature includes the Editors’ Picks for the Top 100 Books of the Year, Top 100 Customer Favorites, Top 10 lists for both editors and customers in nearly two dozen categories, including Literature & Fiction and Cooking, Food & Wine, as well as videos of the year.

Apple Magic Mouse Already In Top 10 On Amazon And Started Shipping

The new Apple Magic Mouse has been available on the Apple Store and on Amazon since a couple days after it was announced on October 20th. MacRumors reports that the first Magic Mouse buyers already got shipping notices from Apple.
On Amazon the Magic Mouse is still only available as pre-order without a shipping date, but the Magic Mouse is already under the top 10 bestselling products in the Electronics category. The Magic Mouse is in the 8th place outselling the Flip. Read more

Today I am offering up the top 10 tech gifts I suggest you don't buy right now and wait until later. For some the reason is that new versions will be announced and for others it makes sense to wait for great Black Friday 2009 Deals.

There are basically three strategies for buying Christmas gifts: Start really early like Summer, bet on Black Friday and Thanksgiving Deals or hunt the mall on the 24th of December.
It is not Summer anymore and I actually have ten hot gifts that you can and some you actually should buy now without being called crazy. If you see a Zhu Zhu Hamster for around 10 bucks somewhere just buy it and hide it in the cellar - it does not need food and does not poop. Top 10 Netbook Comparisons

Netbooks are currently the most active computer segment. There are almost every month new releases and the prices are highly volatile. Over the last weeks we looked at the most popular and new netbooks in a series of 10 netbook comparisons. We paired two netbooks in each comparison. In most cases new netbooks had to challenge established bestsellers in the same class.

Often the differences between netbooks from different manufactures are marginal. But then there are also several cases where it is pretty clear why one netbook is selling like hot cakes and the other stays on the shelves.
What we also saw is that prices dropped on some netbooks within two weeks dramatically. When we compared two netbooks two weeks ago and argued that one offers more and is cheaper than the other one, it could be already the other way around now. Read more

Two weeks ago we compiled the top 10 rumors about the new iPhone 2009. Several new rumors have appeared since then that have changed what we expect the new iPhone will be quite a bit.
These new rumors are actually not really pushing the excitement for the new iPhone up. The latest rumors suggest that the new iPhone would be a minor upgrade to the existing iPhone 3G improving on camera resolution, RAM and CPU speed. The Top 10 of CES 2009

CES 2009 is well over and now that the dust has settled it is time to unveil the Top 10 products that have been announced at the CES 2009.
The big trends at CES 2009 have been Thin TVs, 3D for Hometheater, touchscreen netbooks and other touchscreen products, Connected TVs and LED backlight TVs. One phone though managed to set its own trend and be on everybody's CES 2009 top list: the new Palm Pre. The new Palm webOS powered phone has it what it takes to compete with the iPhone and the Google Android phones. Android did not yet reveal their next generation at the CES 2009. The big show-off is in one month at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona.
