J.J. Abrams, director of Mission: Impossible III will be directing Star Trek XI.

The 11th Star Trek movie, which reportedly will be a prequel revolving around a young James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock, has been written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

The 10 Star Trek movies have grossed in excess of $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
