The hard core Trekkie out there who already owns the Star Trek Voice Operated Dimmer can now own perhaps the coolest of all Star Trek gadgets, the phaser remote.

New Star Trek XI Movie in 2008

Paramount officially announces a new Star Trek movie to be released Christmas of 2008.

J.J. Abrams, director of Mission: Impossible III will be directing Star Trek XI.

The 11th Star Trek movie, which reportedly will be a prequel revolving around a young James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock, has been written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

The 10 Star Trek movies have grossed in excess of $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

Somewhere out there a Trekkie geek is about to burst a blood vessel. If you like the convenience of a device like the Clapper, but the Clapper just isn’t quite geeky enough for you how about a Star Trek Voice Operated dimmer?

Plug this thing in between your lamp and the out let and you can dim the lights in your room via voice commands straight from the bridge of the Enterprise. Alas it doesn’t appear to recognize anything with the word tachyon in it but you can say “Computer lights to 50%” and have them dim to 50%. Read more

Star Trek Mobile Phone Coming from Viacom and Soma Mobile

Viacom and Soma Mobile are bringing Star Trek fans a Star Trek communicator style mobile phone end of September.

The Star Trek phone is part of promotions to come to celebrate 40 years of Star Trek next year.
Apparently the Star Trek phone is not finalized yet, but it will have the appeal of the classic Star Trek communicator. It will play music and videos and games.
