In May we highlighted the top of the line Samsung LED HDTV. Back then the Samsung UN55B8000 was the ultimate LED TV from Samsung. Now a new model in the Samsung 8 Series LED TVs is the top dog: The Samsung UN55B8500.

Ultimate Ears Unveils Custom Monitors on the Cheap

If you have ever been to a live concert or watched a recorded playback of a live concert, you have probably seen the artist wearing earphones. The earphones that they wear aren't like what you would run out to your local Walmart and buy, they are custom made to fit the artists ears and can cost a ton.

Ultimate Ears has announced a new set of custom ear monitors called the UE 4 Pro that carry an impressively small price tag of $399. The only catch is that if you want to order your own custom ear monitors you have to make an appointment with an audiologist to get molds of your ear canals made. Read more

AMD Promises Ultimate Visual Experience for Windows 7 RC Users

AMD has announced that it is providing computer users running the new Windows 7 Release Candidate with the ultimate visual experience. AMD has announced a new Windows 7 driver that has received WHQL certification for compatibility and performance.

The new driver offers a unified installer package and is compatible with Windows Display Driver Model 1.1. AMD says that it continues to work closely with Microsoft to ensure that its hardware and software are compatible and ready for the full launch of Windows 7. Read more

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box for PC

EA has announced that the sweet console game Burnout Paradise is coming to the PC. The game will ship in a box set called Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box that includes the original game content plus all of the content that has been made available for download including the bikes pack.

The game will hit store shelves on February 5th on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live. EA will also add the new Party Pack content to the PC box set. This mode allows groups of players to compete in multiplayer modes where they must complete stunts or other feats. Read more

Ultimate Ears has announced what may be the ultimate set of earphones for the iPhone or BlackBerry smartphone. The new TripleFi 10vi may also be the most expensive earphones ever created for a mobile phone with a MSRP of $419.99.

The 10vi earphones use Ultimate Ears' proprietary triple-speaker configuration and a built-in passive-crossover circuit to direct low and mid-range frequencies. Ultimate Ears Launches Top Firing Earphones

Ultimate Ears has announced its latest earphones called the Super.FI 5 and Super.Fi 5vi. These are the first earphones on the market that use top-fire-armature speaker design for enhanced audio in a compact shape.

The armature allows the headphones to be more compact with a smaller more ergonomic form and deliver premium sound. Frequency response is 15 Hz to 15 kHz. The difference in the 5 and the 5vi is that the 5vi includes a mic on the cable and is intended for use with the iPhone or other music phones. EA Announces Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box

EA has announced a new edition of Burnout Paradise called Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box. The new special edition includes the original game and the two DLC packs known as the Paradise Cagney and bikes content packs.

In addition to the download content, the game also adds an all-new mode called Burnout Paradise Party that will be sold as a separate download for those who already own the game. the party mode allows players to trade the controller to play competitively. The game will also add a restart option for races. That last bit is an important update since you can be miles from the start of a race when you fail making getting back to the start a pain. Ultimate Matrix Collection Coming in Blu-ray

One of the titles that were HD DVD exclusive before the format went defunct was the Ultimate Matrix Collection. The Matrix franchise was a multi-billion dollar franchise and according to Warner Brothers, it was the top trilogy in the last 25 years.

Warner has announced that The Ultimate Matrix Collection will debut on Blu-ray on October 14th. The entire collection spans seven Blu-ray discs with HD video and Dolby TrueHD sound. The nine-part anime film that went along with the trilogy called Animatrix will also be included in HD for the first time. Read more

Yesterday we reported about a leaked Asus Eee PC Roadmap that contained tons of new Asus Eee PC models split in three categories Smart Casual, Pro Fashion, and Ultimate. The currently available Asus Eee PC netbooks are in the Smart Casual Category.

Disney Announces Ultimate Band for Wii & Nintendo DS

Disney Interactive Studios introduces its own music game today called Ultimate Band. Disney says the game is for music fans of all ages and requires no expensive peripherals like Rock Band. The game will be available for the Nintendo Wii and DS game systems.

Players can play as a group with other friends or play a solo game as well. The Wii Remote and DS stylus control all the action. Players can choose from guitar, bass, drums, or be the front man for the band. "Ultimate Band invites kids, tweens and teens to join in the jam session," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president, global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "And whether they choose guitar, drums, bass or front man, members don't need to buy costly, single-function peripherals to play their way through Ultimate Band's deep song list, dynamic venues, and customizable characters.
