Sprint Mobile Email Work Gives Users Access to Business Email
Sprint announced a new service that allows users access to corporate email accounts on non-PDA style phones like the new Instinct from Samsung. The application is called Sprint Mobile Email Work and allows easy access to Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Lotus Notes accounts.
The new service is an extension to Sprint’s access to personal email accounts like AOL, Gmail, Windows Live and Yahoo Mail. Users of compatible flip phones and other devices can use the new service. The new corporate email access is available at no additional charge on some Sprint plans. Read more

Study Says 9 Million mobile Users Pay for Goods and Services with Mobile Phones
According to a study by The Nielsen Company 9 million mobile phone users in America have used their mobile phones to pay for goods and services and half of all data users say they expect to participate in mobile commerce in the future.
The study says that as of Q1 2008 3.6% of US mobile users paid for good with their phone. Men are more likely than women to use their phones for commerce and adults 25-34 are the most likely to use their phone for buying goods. Read more

Sony Qore Video Show for Sony PS3 Users
Sony announced today Qore, an interactive, monthly original program that covers the world inside PlayStation.
Sony Qore is only available on the Playstation Store for the Sony PS3.
Qore episodes will be available the first Thursday of every month in coordination with the weekly PLAYSTATION Store update. Sony actually expects you to pay for this show. The first show sells for $2.99. An annual subscription sells for $24.99.

Online Video to Boast Over 1 Billion Users in 2013
According to ABI Research online video will have over 1 billion users by 2013. ABI says that the exponential increase will be pushed by improved broadband speeds and availability across the world.
To be able to offer the increased bandwidth that will be needed by ISPs to serve this much content ABI says that ISPs will change the way they deliver content by caching it closer to the user and peer-to-peer networks. Read more

If you own an iPhone and are tired of having to pay for songs or tracks at the iTunes store and then pay to turn them into ring tones Myxer announced a new service that may be just what you need. The Myxer service provides free ringtones and mobile content that is ad supported.
It’s not exactly clear what type of ads you have to put up with to use the service from the Myxer website. If the tradeoff for free ringtones and other stuff is tons of email from Myxer partners it may not be such a good deal. Read more

MySpace users Get SightSpeed
MySpace users get a new video chat application today called SightSpeed from SightSpeed Incorporated. SightSpeed says it is the first company to offer integrated video mail, public video posting and free video chat to MySpace members.
The application was built with the new MySpace developer Platform. With the application users can have real time voice chats or threaded video posts where videos are recorded and posted in a chat style. Users would create a video post on a subject and then other members of their friends group could post a video response. Read more

Verizon Users Can Get Medication Reminders on their Phones
For thousands and thousands of Americans who are on daily medication regimes it can get difficult to remember when to take their meds and if they took the medication. Verizon wireless announced a new application today aimed at making remembering to take life saving medications easier.
The application is called Pill Phone and is a mobile version of the medication reference guide The Pill Book. The Pill Phone application is a Verizon Wireless exclusive and in addition to giving reference information and images of all sorts of medications it can also provide dosing reminders right on the phone. Japanese Nintendo Wii Users get Gemstar TV Guide
Gemstar-TV announced this week a deal with Nintendo to provide the G-Guide interactive program guide on Wii consoles in Japan.
Gemstar's EPG is pretty well established in DVR's around the world. The integration of the G-Guide inside the Wii is only passive as the Wii has no TV or recording functionality.

Already 400,000 iPhone Users in China?
The Apple iPhone is not officially available in China, but China Mobile has apparently 400,000 iPhone users on their cell network.
Back in January the talks between Apple and China Mobile failed. Market Research company In-Stat reports that China Mobile already had 400,000 unlocked iPhone customers by the end of 2007.

1 million Sony PS3 Users participate in Folding@Home
Sony today announced that since the PS3 took part in Stanford University’s Folding@home project on March 22, 2007, the total number of registered users has reached over one million users.
This equates to roughly 3,000 PS3 users registering for Folding@home per day or 2 new registered users every minute worldwide.
