Pics of ATI 5970 Dual-GPU video card leak
Some information and pics of an upcoming video card from ATI have been leaked, it's called the 5970 with dual GPUs on one card. The card in the leaked images has an 8-pin and a 6-pin power connector to give it enough juice.
The card is a whopping 13.5-inches long, which means that many cases won’t be able to fit the card inside thanks to its length. Apparently, AMD already forced the site to remove the performance specs listed. Read more

Android LG Eve Videos, Pictures Leak
Before the year is out, LG will join the swelling ranks of Android smartphone manufacturers. Their first Android phone will be a low-budget number called the Eve. It'll be out sometime in Q4 and, according to Phandroid it will be available in Canada on Rogers Wireless, in addition to several European carriers. The folks at Android and Me have managed to dredge up some new images and bizarre commercials for the Eve.
Both commercials heavily emphasize the Eve's social networking capabilies, which seem to revolve around integrating a contact's phone number, facebook status, twitter updates, and other social media information together in a single phonebook entry. The UI looks fine, but there doesn't appear to be anything that distinguishes it from the herd. This is certainly no MotoBlur or Sense.

Quote from the review: "Today we get a close up look at the brite-View CinemaTube 1080p HD Media Player. On the surface we thought we might be in for a treat. What type of treat, you say? Well, something different than the usual run-of-the-mill HD media players we’ve been looking at this year. And by different, we mean a player with a unique controller, interface and feel. It turns out the brite-View product is (yes, again) another Realtek-based player. Yawn??!

Microsoft Courier Video Is Beautiful Beyond Words
So, Gizmodo released more information about the Microsoft Courier tablet PC, including an explanatory video of the UI in use. After multiple viewings I think I can safely say that I've never been as excited about a gadget as I am about this tablet. If Microsoft can put a real product into production that works this way, they will blow the tech world's collective mind.
It is important to note that the real Courier UI may very well end up being absolutely nothing like this video. Until we see some mass-advertisements showcasing the finished interface, everything in this video is subject to change. That said, the UI now looks much more polished than it did in the first video, and my untrained eyes can't see anything that needs to be altered.

Record Video On Your Pre: Homebrew Solution
One of the big holes the Palm Pre has as a high-end smartphone is its lack of a video recording feature. The Pre is certainly a powerful enough device to handle video recording, but the dev team has yet to release an update to enable it. While no official camcorder solution exists for the Pre, privately made open-source applications that allow recording now exist.
PreCentral.net reports that developer zonyl has put an app up for download here. He's managed to get the camera to record at around 30 fps in 320x480 px. From the posted videos we can see that the new camcorder has fairly good image quality with solid color definition.

USB 3.0 At IDF: Now With Video
It's 10 times as fast, consumes far less power, and is totally backwards compatible. What's not to love about USB 3.0? The new technology debuted this week in several different products and concepts at the IDF show. Some of these products (SuperSpeed USB hard drives) are even angled to hit stores before the year is out. And now, Engadget has posted a video of the new technology in action.
The video, which comes from the IDF show, has the USB 3.0 HD finishing a 500 MB transfer in a little over 4 seconds. Next to it is a USB 2.0 HD, which takes a little under 40 seconds. From this video alone it's pretty obvious that USB 3.0 hard drives are going to change the way we transfer and store media. No longer will making back-ups be a ridiculously long and tedious process!
