Viewsonic PJD2121 Projector offers HD in Small Package
Viewsonic unveiled a new projector yesterday that is very small, but still offers support for 720p HD resolution. The projector is called the PJD2121, measures in at a small 8.1 x 4.7 x 2.6 inches, and weighs only 2.6 pounds.
The biggest downside to the small projector is that the brightness isn’t all that great at 400 ANSI lumens. The contrast ratio for the projector is 1800:1 and the aspect ratio is 4:3 native, but 16:9 is supported. The projector will throw an image from 35 to 150 inches. Read more

Viewsonic Ships First All-in-One PC
Viewsonic has announced that it is now shipping the VPC100 all-in-one computer in America. The computer retails for $599, uses an Intel Atom 1.64 GHz processor, and runs Windows XP Home. The machine has an 18.5-inch display.
The machine is very thin at 35mm and Viewsonic says the system uses 50% less plastic than traditional desktops with an LCD and a tower. Other features of the machine include four USB ports, DVD burner, memory card reader, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and Ethernet port. Read more

ViewSonic Announces Three 120Hz 3D DLP Projectors
Viewsonic has announced a new line of short throw projectors that can project a large image from a short distance from a wall or screen. The new projector models include the PJD6211, PJD6221, and the PJD 6381. All three of the projectors are also 3D capable.
The PJD 6381 has one of the shortest throw ratios available on a DLP projector at 0.68. The resolution of the projector is 1024 x 768 and it has 2500 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. The projector will ship in August for $1,249. Read more

Viewsonic Launches Widescreen Ergonomic LCDs
Viewsonic has unveiled a new line of ergonomic LCD monitors that are geared towards customers in a variety of areas. The new VG27 line includes the 24-inch VG2427wm, VG2227wm, and the 20-inch VG2027wm. All of the monitors are widescreen units.
The line features a 20000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and full 1080p HD resolutions. The screens are designed with thin bezels making them perfect for multiple monitor environments. Other features include DVI and VGA ports along with a pair of USB ports. Read more

Viewsonic Unveils New Digital Photo Frames
Viewsonic has announced a new family of digital photo frames that includes the 10.4-inch VFD1020, the 8-inch VFD820, and the 7-inch VFD720. The frames all fall into the TrueView line and all have a 4:3 aspect ratio to display digital photos with minimal distortion.
The resolution on the 7-inch and 8-inch digital photo frames is 800 x 600; resolution on the 7-inch frames is not typically that high. All of the frames offer remote controls to change images from across the room. Read more

Viewsonic to Enter 3G Smartphone Market
Viewsonic is well known for making high quality TVs and PC monitors among other things. The company has announced that it intends to enter into the global smartphone market. China will be the first region to get Viewsonic smartphones followed by Europe and America.
This will be the first time that Viewsonic has been in the smartphone market and the company says that the smartphone will converge well with its other product offerings. Viewsonic says that the smartphone market demands larger and higher performance screens aimed at gaming, web surfing, TV and video on smartphones. Read more

ViewSonic Announces 22-inch 1080p LCD HDTV
Once you get used to watching TV programs in HD, it's very hard to go back to SD programming. For a long time HDTVs weren't available in smaller screen sizes with 32-inches about as small as the TVs got. Viewsonic has announced a new 22-inch HDTV that may be perfect for use in the bedroom, kitchen, or dorm.
The TV is called the VT2230 and offers full 1080p resolution in a more compact design. The TV has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 and sells for $349. The contrast ratio if 8000:1 dynamic and ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners are built into the set. Read more

ViewSonic Launches 3D-Ready FuHzion HDTV and Projector at CES 2009
ViewSonic launched a 3D-ready line dubbed FuHzion at the CES 2009. The ViewSonic FuHzion includes an 120Hz desktop LCD monitor, the ViewSonic VX2265wm, and a 2,200 lumens portable lightweight projector, the ViewSonic PJD6220-3D. ViewSonic says that the adaptable and affordable new FuHzion line will make 3D standard in the home.
The 22-inch VX2265wm 120Hz desktop LCD monitor produces rich, colorful, blur-free video for traditional 2D gaming, entertainment and graphic applications, while also delivering stereoscopic 3D when used with the new NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision stereoscopic active shutter glasses for the home. The NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision glasses, compatible with more than 350 existing entertainment titles, makes the VX2265wm a perfect match to deliver immersive, ultra-realistic PC gaming experiences.
In addition to the 120Hz frame rate support, the VX2265wm offers a 2ms video response time to remove virtually all motion artifacts and ghosting. Viewsonic Announces 24-inch 1080p HDTV
Viewsonic has announced a new size category for LCD HDTVs. The new VT2430 HDTV has a full HD 1080p screen resolution and sports a 24-inch screen size. The 24-inch screen is designed for smaller spaces like an office or bedroom.
Features of the set in addition to the full HD resolution include a dynamic contrast ration of 10000:1 HDMI 1.3 connectivity. The set features HDCP to work with Blu-ray players and protected content. Read more

ViewSonic Sets New Color Quality Standard
ViewSonic is one of the most prolific and popular makers of all sorts of LCD products from PC displays and LCD HDTVs to digital photo frames. ViewSonic Introduces New 26-inch LCD
ViewSonic announced its latest LCD display today called the VA262wm. The display is a 26-inch size and features the 1920 x 1200 resolution found on 24-inch LCDs. The display sells for $529 and features a wide array of inputs for connecting various components.
Inputs include HDMI, VGA, and DVI with HDCP. The connectivity options allow the connecting of multiple devices like Blu-ray players, computers and game consoles. The display also has built-in 2.5-watt dual stereo speakers with SRS WOW HD sound. The dynamic contrast ratio for the display is 6000:1. Read more

Viewsonic Announces New Low Cost LCDs
Viewsonic announced three new LCDs today. The VA1903wmb is a 19-inch widescreen display and the other two new monitors are 4:3 units. The 17-ich VA703mp and the 19-inch VA903mb and the wide screen 19-inch unit are all targeted at offices and classrooms.
All three displays promise fast response times, rich colors and bright images for under $250 each. "The need for multimedia desktop displays in the classroom is increasing as curriculum evolves and students are utilizing video and Web sites for daily learning," said Jeff Volpe, vice president of Global Brand and Emerging Technologies, ViewSonic. "By introducing inexpensive LCDs with features typically associated with more expensive, high-end displays, ViewSonic is making it possible for users to enjoy the latest in display technology without breaking the bank." ViewSonic Introduces PJ557D, PJ559D, PJ560D, PJ551D and PJ260D Projectors
Viewsonic introduced five new projectors yesterday aimed at educators and business types. The projectors included the PJ557D, PJ559D, PJ560D, PJ551D and PJ260D. The new projectors all include Texas Instruments’ BrilliantColor Technology for more lifelike and brilliant images.
The PJ557D, PJ559D, and PJ560D are aimed at use in schools and universities where budgets are tight and high-performance is needed. The projectors retail for $799, $899, and $1099 respectively. All three are plug-and-play and have a lamp life of up to 4,000 hours. An integrated RS232port allows remote access by PC and feature a pair of built-in 5-watt speakers. Viewsonic Announces NX1932w and NX2232w Diamani DUO Displays
Viewsonic also announced a new series of HD PC/TV displays today called the Diamani DUO. Viewsonic says the displays are precision LCD TVs that double as Pc displays and will be available in 19-inch and 22-inch sizes.
Both display sizes will share the same 5ms response time, 2400:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and wide viewing angles. Six different inputs are offered on the displays including HDMI and VGA inputs. The 19-inch NX1932w will have a 1440 x 900 screen resolution and the 22-inch NX2232w will have a resolution of 1680 x 1050. Read more

Viewsonic Announces Dynamic Desktop Displays
Viewsonic announced three new PC displays today, two 19-inch LCDs and a 22-inch display. The 19-inch VX1940w and the 22-inch VX2240w will both utilize a dynamic contrast ratio of 4000:1, enhancing light and dark images reducing light leakage. ClearMotiv technology gives the displays a gamer friendly 2ms response time and brightness is 300 nits.
Both the 19-inch VX1940W and the 22-inch VX2240w feature the same 1680x1050 screen resolution, making the 19-inch display the first to offer such a high resolution. The other display Viewsonic introduced is the 19-inch VX1932wm. Read more

ViewSonic PJ258D iPod Projector Review
Today we are having a look at the ViewSonic PJ258D iPod Projector. This projector fits neatly into the ViewSonic line of iPod connectivity devices and allows you to watch your iPod movies and TV shows on a large screen.
The projector has nice specifications, but lacks HD inputs seriously limiting its usefulness to home theater buffs. If you are looking for a light projector to take on the road and don’t need HD capability, this may be the projector for you. Read more
