Topic:

Vizio VP322 32-inch Plasma is I4U Top 100 Holiday Gift #11 Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Many people thought plasma HDTVs were a dying breed, but Vizio has shown otherwise. Last quarter worldwide shipments of plasma TVs grew at a greater pace than shipments of LCD TVs. Most of the increase in shipping of plasma TVs worldwide was due to the huge success Vizio has found with its 32-inch VP322 plasma TV.

Plasma HDTVs are preferred by many over LCD TVs thanks to the increase contrast ratio you typically see and better brightness. The VP322 can be purchased for a MSRP of $649.99 at Costco or Wal-Mart. The TV has a good price for the screen size and offers lots of connectivity options including three HDMI with HDCP ports, component, composite, and S-video. The set also features 5.1 surround sound out via SPDIF optical. Read more

Topic:

Optoma Bigvizion HDBV3100 Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Our review partner Digital Trends reviews the $30,000 Optoma Bigvizion HDBV3100 TV.

Quote from the review:
"Granted, a 100-inch TV is not for everybody. BigVizion was created for that person who truly wants “the Big Picture." Now, you ask, who would buy it? First of all, probably anyone who is thinking about Panasonic's new 103-inch Plasma HDTV, since that display costs $70,000. It could also be the person who is planning on spending tens of thousands of dollars on a state-of-the-art front video projector from a larger and possibly more recognizable company. "
