Samsung H1 And M1 With Vodafone 360 Launch This Week
We first reported about the new Samsung H1 and Samsung M1 back in September. Back then it was not clear that these Linux phones (LiMo) would already be launching this fall.
The new Samsung H1 and Samsung M1 phones will come with the new Vodafone 360 service, which includes a universal contact list that integrates information from address books within various services, and a 3D zoom feature that enables users to browse through their latest interaction in chronological order.

Vodafone: Less Than Month Of Storm 2 Exclusivity
The Storm 2 will be hitting stores by the end of this month. Over in the UK, Vodafone has been bragging about gaining exclusivity of the Storm 2 when it launches around October 26th. However, according to Boy Genius, this exclusivity will not be long for this world. In fact, it could last as little as "a few weeks".

HTC Tattoo Hits Vodafone in October
Hey, UK Android fans, guess what could be hitting your shores in just a few more days! Talk Android has information that the HTC Tattoo will be coming to Vodafone sometime this October. The new smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android 1.6 (Donut).
The Tattoo packs a standard 528 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 2.8" resistive touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, and a microSD card reader. Information on pricing and the exact launch date has not been released yet, but the Tattoo has already been added to Vodafone's coming soon page.

Google Android G2 on Vodafone rumored at MWC 2009 [Update]
It has been rumored for a while that there will be a Google G2 phone. Previous rumors suggested that the G2 would, like the G1, be from T-Mobile.
Update: HTC Magic Android Phone official.
Pocket-lint now reports that they heard from a close source that the Google G2 phone would be announced tomorrow at the MWC 2009 on Vodafone. Update: Rumor confirmed, Vodafone will launch the HTC Magic aka G2. More details on BGR.

BlackBerry Storm Firmware Update released by Vodafone Germany
The BlackBerry Storm firmware update situation is confusing and a strong hand or announcement by RIM is needed.
Different Storm firmware versions got leaked and there is still no official word that clears up the air on when Storm users can expect an official OTA update and what it would actually fix.
Vodafone Germany has now released a BlackBerry Storm update with version OS 4.7.0.78, which is higher than what has been available on the net.

BlackBerry Storm Vodafone Pricing leaks
The BlackBerry Storm touch-screen phone was officially announced in early October, but the pricing information was still missing. Now apparently the pricing of the Storm on the Vodafone network has leaked according to SiliconRepublic.
The Vodafone pricing plans for the Storm are actually quite attractive. Under the smallest plan the Storm sells for 109 Euro (~$138). Under the top plan the Storm costs only 49 Euros (~$62).
If this pricing for the UK is any indication for the US, than this is good news. The BlackBerry Bold pricing of $299.99 did not support hopes for the Storm to be priced under $200.

Vodafone scores Apple iPhone Deal for Ten Markets
Vodafone announces that it has secured the iPhone for ten markets world-wide.
Later this year, Vodafone customers in Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa, and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network.

T-Mobile wins against Vodafone in iPhone Case in Germany
T-Mobile can continue to sell locked Apple iPhones in Germany. The court order by Vodafone was dismissed by a German court.
T-Mobile had to offer unlocked iPhones while the case was in court. The judge ruled that there has not been any unfair competition through the locked sale of the Apple iPhone by T-Mobile.

T-Mobile responds to Vodafone iPhone Court Order
As reported earlier today Vodafone obtained a court order in Germany against the locked iPhone sales by T-Mobile.
Update:
T-Mobile sells iPhone without contract for 999 Euro in Germany now.
T-Mobile issued a press-release responding to the court order. T-Mobile says that the sale of the iPhone continues as before and that they will file objection against the court order. Additionally they are thinking about claiming Vodafone for damages.

Vodafone decided to rescue us from the iPhone 2 year contract commitment with a court order against T-Mobile in Germany - hurray!
Vodafone thinks that the locked iPhone sales and two year contract terms might not be legal in Germany and wants the courts to decide.

Palm Announces Treo 500v for Vodafone
Palm launched a new Treo model today running Windows Mobile 6 for Vodafone customers called the Treo 500v. The device uses high-speed 3G/UMTS mobile web access. Initially the new phone will be exclusively available from Vodafone starting in October.
Other features for the 500v include a full keyboard, large 320 x 240 screen with 16-bit color, and a 2MP camera. The battery is good for 10 days standby time and up to 4.5 hours of talk time. Internal memory is 256MB and memory is expandable via microSD cards. Read more

Vodafone brings Samsung F700 to battle the iPhone in Europe
Today Vodafone announced that they will offer the Samsung F700 exclusively in Germany starting in November .
Samsung announced the F700 back in February. It has a touch screen like the Apple iPhone, but also has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Other features of the Samsung F700 include a 2.78 inch TFT Touch Screen with 440x240px resolution 3G connectivity, 3MP camera, microSD card slot, and media player.

iPhone Apple and Vodafone Negotiation Details leaked?
Apparently Apple and Vodafone are in detailed discussions over the iPhone deal in the UK.
Unstrung (via Engadget) has published details of Vodafone's and other carrier's improvement requests for the iPhone. I am a bit puzzled that something like this would leak, so this list could just contain just wild guesses.

Japan: Vodafone K.K. Changes Name to Softbank Mobile Corp.
Softbank announces the new name for their recently acquired mobile phone business from Vodafone. Starting October 1st, the Japanese mobile phone carrier will be called Softbank Mobile Corp.
1,856 Vodafone shops and other customer
touch points in Japan will be re-branded until October 1st.
Softbank Mobile Corp. will actually continue to work with Vodafone. Today both companies announced a 50:50 joint venture to develop and procure handsets and content.

3G Blackberry 8707v Coming from Vodafone
Blackberry goes 3G the first time. Apparently Vodafone in the UK will introduce the 3G enabled 8707v Blackberry handset.
The Quadband 8707v is running on a 312Mhz Intel PXA901 CPU. The screen has QVGA resolution.
The design is mostly based on the Blackberry 8700.
