Many people usually replace their cell phones during the holiday season. The best deals come out as it gets closer and closer to Christmas. Take this new deal on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 (via TmoNews) from Wal-Mart. If you sign up to buy a T-Mobile 9700 with a 2-year service agreement you'll get a $100 Wal-Mart gift card along with it. That basically cuts the cost down from $199.99, to $99.99.

Motorola Droid: $188 At Wal-Mart?
This Friday is the day Android fans around the globe have been waiting for. The Motorola Droid is about to launch, and scores of Android fanboys will (presumably) be lining the streets to get first dibs on their new handsets. While the Droid is definitely a smartphone worth lining up for, you might want to be careful choosing which store to line up in front of.
If you'd planned on picking your Droid up from a Verizon store, you seriously need to reconsider those plans. There the Droid will cost you $299.99 out of pocket, with a $100 rebate redeemable afterwords. As we reported earlier, Best Buy will sell you the Droid for just $199.99, with no rebate hassle of any sort. In addition, Android and Me states that a tipster has informed them that Wal-Mart will be selling the Droid for a total price of just $188 with a 2 year contract. Read more

Hot Deal: $80 Pres At Wal-Mart
This has been a week of Pre misinformation, but it's also been a week of deals for Palm's inaugural smartphone. Earlier this week the Pre went on sale at Amazon.com for just $100. And now, we have information from EverythingPre via Gizmodo that Wal-mart is selling the Pre for a mere $80.

Wal-Mart to Sell Macs?
So Wal-Mart just started reorganizing the electronics departments of 3,500 of its stores, 2,600 of them Super-Centers. Part of this reorganization includes adding Apple-specific areas where customers can find only Apple products. Quite a few folks think that this is a sign that Wal-Mart is getting ready to start carrying Macs, in addition to i-Paraphernalia.
One of those folks is Ben Reitzes, an analyst from Barclays Capital. He believes that Wal-Mart is "actively pitching" for the right to sell a broader array of Apple products. Most Macs are far too expensive to do very well at a Wal-Mart, but there are several budget products expected from Apple in the near future, including a potential netbook release.

80GB Sony PS3 with $100 Gift Card this Saturday at Wal-mart
Sony said they would not cut the price of the Sony PS3 console this holiday. Sony upped the HDD to 80GB for the PS3 and kept the $399.99 price point that it had before. You have to rely on retailers to make you a deal on the new 80GB Sony PS3.
In October Wal-mart had a deal for the PS3 that bundled in a $75 gift card. This Saturday you can get a Sony PS3 with a $100 Gift Card in Wal-mart stores only.
Stores open at 8am and there are a minimum of 4 systems per store available. More details on Wal-mart.

Wal-mart put out some serious sales to motivate you to come down to your next Wal-mart store this Saturday.
It is not Black Friday yet, but like other retailers that's not holding Walmart back from putting electronics on the shelves at big discounts.

iPhone 3G could sell as low as $99 and T-Mobile G1 gets rolledback at Wal-mart
The smartphone battle will still get a lot more interesting for us consumers on the pricing side of things. Analyst Charlie Wolf of Needham Research says that Apple can afford to drop the iPhone 3G price to $99 if necessary. Via Electronista.
Given the high prices RIM keeps on their new Blackberry Bold ($299.99 with 2 year contract) and most likely also on the new BlackBerry Storm a price drop like that would hurt pretty bad.
The only other smartphone that would not hesitate to cut prices is the new T-Mobile G1 as it seems.

Toys 'R' Us set to battle Wal-mart at biggest Black Friday in History
The once biggest toy store is set to battle Wal-mart this holiday shopping season to win back the crown they lost 10 years ago to Wal-mart. Toys 'R' Us re-launched their site and already has a special sale this weekend (ends today).
Toys 'R' Us CEO Gerald Storch believes that the day after Thanksgiving aka Black Friday will be the biggest in history. I already made that prediction in this report back in August. Black Friday and Thanksgiving Sales anyway get bigger every year, but the economic situation will even push more consumers to look for the best deals.

Adidas sues Wal-mart
Sports gear maker Adidas is moving against the world's largest retailer because of breach of their trademark rights.
Supposedly Wal-mart has copied Adidas shoes.
The Adidas Group confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, but did not want to comment on details.

Sony PS3 with $100 Gift Card hot Deal at Wal-mart
Wal-mart offers a $100 gift card with the purchase of the Sony PS3 and other Blu-ray players.
The Sony PS3 40GB sells for $399, with the gift card you essentially get the PS3 for $299 at Wal-mart. Wal-mart says that the Giftcards are available in limited quantities and for online use only; additionally Gift Cards are non-refundable. The Blu-ray promotion apparently runs from June 8th-14th, but the deal for the Sony PS3 is already available on the Wal-mart site.
