I found this deal because with its new low price the Garmin Forerunner 305 has shot up in the Electronics Bestseller List to #13.

BlackBerry Smartwatch Available For Pre-Order

Well that was fast. After just a week of speculation time, the BlackBerry smartwatch is confirmed and available for pre-order. Normally a gadget like this is preceded by months of speculation over leaked renders and blurry cameraphone images. Apparently inPulse, the company RIM contracted to make the watch, doesn't like to play those games. The final price of the Smartwatch is $149, and it is expected to ship in February.

In terms of specs, we can confirm that the Smartwatch packs a 1.3" OLED display. It has a glass lens, a metal body, a microUSB port, and a battery that can handle roughly 4 days of use on a charge. It also has a vibrating motor, so you'll always know when someone's trying to send you a message. Unfortunately, you won't be able to respond with your watch alone.

The BlackBerry Smartwatch: Hot, But Silly

Like millions and millions of other people these days, I no longer wear a watch. The advent of the cell phone as a ubiquitous device has made them superfluous for a lot of us. While old-fashioned watches may not be too exciting these days, the concept of the smartwatch most definitely is. Ever since LG's overly-expensive GD910 made it onto the market, we've been waiting to see who the next entrant in the smartwatch category would be.

Today, we know it's RIM. That's right, the makers of the BlackBerry are working on a companion smartwatch (via Gizmodo) for their line of phones. Crackberry posted up several images of the new watch, along with some information on its purpose. This smartwatch is not a stand-alone device, but a BlackBerry accessory designed to display messages from a paired BlackBerry. It's made by a 3rd party manufacturer, and could be marketed as the inPulse.

LG GD910 Watch Phone Costs €899

Anyone who has ever loved spy movies wants one of LG's new touchscreen watch smartphones. Unfortunately, only those of us with the financial resources of MI6 and a love for impractical gadgets that would put James Bond to shame actually have a chance of affording one. We've known for a while that the GD910 watch phone was going to be expensive, but now we know just what Orange is going to charge.

According to Boy Genius, over $1300. Of course, since the watch phone is only available in Europe right now, the €899 figure is more appropriate. That's with a subsidized 12 or 24 month plan, mind you.

We received a tip for a new viral video that teases something you will have a hard time to figure out. You can watch the video below to give it a shot. It is sexy, but in my mind safe for work as the video makes heavy use of black bars instead of clothes.

Today iriver launched its latest portable media player (PMP) offering, the P7, billed as the “ultimate movie viewing handheld device,” according to the release.

In addition to the 4.3” LCD touch screen and award-winning product design, iriver is touting the built-in media converter that allows viewing on the fly, eliminating the lengthy conversion process that marred other PMP movie-playing capabilities.

Garmin Unveils Forerunner 310XT Multi-sport Watch

Garmin has announced a new multi-sport watch for fitness fans called the Forerunner 310XT. The watch is waterproof and has a battery life of up to 20 hours. Garmin says that the watch was announced in preparation for the upcoming marathons in Boston and Paris.

The watch will be available on its own or bundled with a waterproof, soft strap heart rate monitor expected to be available this summer. The 310XT blends wireless connectivity and wireless synchronization through ANT+ technology working with Garmin heart rate monitors and foot pods as well as third part health equipment. Read more

Tag Heuer has the best story to tell at the BaselWorld 2009. The Swiss Sports and High-tech inspired watch maker celebrates the Monaco watch's 40th birthday.

Warner Bros. has announced that a new game for the iPhone is now available on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch called Watchmen: Justice is Coming. The game is currently priced at $0.99 and is a MMO title.

LG Watch Phone to Sell in UK for £1,000?!

Let's face it, the LG Touch Watch phone is cool and interesting, but the odds of it ever being really popular are slim to none thanks to the weird format and tiny screen. Apparently, the watch is doomed for another reason as well -- the price.

Reports are coming in that the Touch Watch will sell for around £1,000 in Europe, an insane price tag for what you get. The price is not yet official, but Orange did agree to a specific price to get the exclusive for Europe. Read more

LG has unveiled the GD910 3G Wrist Phone at the CES 2009.

Super Bowl 2009 was the most watched Sporting Event on TV

Nielsen Media Research updated the audience numbers for Super Bowl XLIII and now it is official that the Super Bowl 2009 was the most watched sporting event in TV history according to The Variety.
An estimated 98.73 million had watched the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl ads. Of course not all of them sat through the whole game. Still lots of them watched the number #1 Super Bowl 2009 Ad according to TiVo: Go Daddy's Enhanced?.

The Super Bowl 2009 has about 1 million more viewers than the Super Bowl 2008. With an audience close to 100 million it is clear that the Super Bowl ads have been a bargain at $3m. It is even more a bargain if you, like Doritos, get a Super Bowl Ad made by amateurs on the #1 spot according to the USA Today Ad Meter. Read more
