Logitech G27 Racing Wheel Review
Today I am checking out the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel. This is the follow up to the Logitech G25 racing wheel and is very similar in many ways. The wheel retails for right at $300.
The G27 works with the PS3, PS2, and PC systems and force feedback compatible games. The wheel has a gated shifter and pedals with a clutch as well. Read more

Logitech Unveils G27 Racing Wheel
It has been a while now since Logitech launched its G25 racing wheel and it was hands down the best force feedback racing wheel I ever tried. Logitech has announced that it now has a follow up to the G25 called the G27.
The new racing wheel has a dual motor force feedback mechanism with helical gearing. The wheel also sports RPM and shift indication LEDs and sixteen programmable buttons. The wheel also features a D-pad and 900 degrees of wheel rotation. Read more

New Wii Steering Wheel Fits Wiimote With Wii MotionPlus Attached
I did not think about this. My Wii Steering wheel does not working with the new Wii MotionPlus accessory attached to my Wiimote - DRAMA!
Good thing that Hong Kong based gadget shop Brando is already offering an extra-wide Wii steering wheel that can house a Wiimote with Wii MotionPlus attached.

New iPods to have Multitouch Click-Wheels?
Apple's love-affair with multitouch technology comes to a head this week as AppleInsider has uncovered a recent Apple patent for a multitouch capable click-wheel. This patent had several illustrations of the new click-wheel as well as a detailed list of its capabilities. The new click-wheels are expected to make their debut with the fifth-generation iPod Nano.
The new Nanos are already getting digital cameras and a smaller click-wheel as part of their redesign, and a multitouch wheel is a substantial upgrade from what was there before. Multitouch will make it easier to flip through pictures and browse your music library, as well as bringing an awesome zoom function to the Nanos.

Genius Launches New Racing Wheel for PC/PS2
Genius has announced a new racing wheel called the TwinWheel FF that works for the PC and for the PS2. The wheel offers realistic force feedback action and has a total of 12 programmable buttons for gaming flexibility.
To keep the wheel secure during racing games the bottom of the wheel has four suction cups and a C-clamp for stability. The force feedback effects are via patented Immersion technology. Genius says that the effects allow users to feel every bump, collision, and crash as they race. Read more

Midway confirms Ship Date for Wheelman
Midway has confirmed the ship date for its coming game Wheelman. If you were hoping to see the game under the Christmas tree this holiday season, you are out of luck. The ship date is February 16, 2009.
Wheelman is an open-world driving game starring Vin Diesel as an expert driver for hire. The game is set in Barcelona and will be on store shelves on February 20th. Not only does Diesel star in the game, he also produced the title and the game is expected to transition to a Hollywood film. Read more

Hot Wheels Turbo Driver Controller Review
Today we are looking at a game controller from Hot Wheels called the Turbo Driver Controller. The controller connects with Car-Tridges that allow kids to get additional cars to race in an exclusive game for the controller.

Fanatec RennSport Wheel Stand Unveiled
Fanatec has announced something that many gamers have wished for for a long time, a stand that folds down and holds a racing wheel for use with a game console or PC. The RennSport Wheel Stand is designed to provide a stable base for force feedback racing wheels like Fanatec's own 911 Wheel or the Logitech G25.
The stand also works with Logitech's Driving Force series of wheels as well as the Microsoft Xbox 360 Racing Wheel. Adjustments for height, wheel angle, and pedal position allow customization to individual users. Rubber pads on the base help prevent slipping while playing. Force Feedback Wheel for the Nintendo Wii Introduced by Logitech
Logitech has announced today the first ever force feedback wheel for the Nintendo Wii. The device is called the Logitech Speed Force Wireless racing wheel and is designed to work with EA's forthcoming Need for Speed Undercover video game. The wheel is licensed by Nintendo and introduces force feedback to the Nintendo Wii.
The wheel uses a one-piece design and is convenient to use on a couch, armchair, or on the floor. The wheel features built-in gas and brake controls located on the wheel and expandable lap rest that's adjustable. The wheel is wireless and uses 2.4 GHz technology allowing for range of up to 30 feet from the console. Read more

Carver One Tilting Three-Wheeler Test Drive Video
Back in 2006 the Carver One was introduced as the first tilting three-wheeler vehicle. The fun mixture between a bike and a car is still quite cool when you actually see one carving through a curve.
Our female interviewer at our gadget video partner Wannahaves got the chance to meet a Carver representative to ask some questions and then take a test drive.
The test drive reveals that the Carver One is the perfect pick-up vehicle for women. The two-seater is actually very intimate.

Logitech Announces Driving Force Wireless Racing Wheel
Logitech has announced its latest force feedback racing wheel for the PS3 called the Logitech Driving Force Wireless. The wheel uses 2.4GHz wireless technology to connect to the PS3 console with no need for wires strung across the living room.
The wheel doesn’t use a set of pedals to save space. Buttons for throttle and brake are located on the wheel. The racing wheel is also made for use in the lap, something that previous Logitech racing wheels have not been able to do. The wheel is expected to be available in August for $99.99. Read more

I4U Review Round-up: XFX GTX 280, Logitech GT Wheel, BFG 9600 OCX
Last week we reviewed new hardware gear including the freshly announced NVIDIA GTX 280 card. Shane took a look at the XFX GTX 280 that runs at stock clock speeds. This video card now sits at the top of the performance hierarchy in the NVIDIA line.
His verdict is: "The new XFX GTX 280 is a fantastic performer and bests all but a few of the highest overclocked 9800 GX2 cards at stock GTX 280 clock speeds. Logitech Driving Force GT Steering Wheel Review
Today we are looking at the Logitech Driving Force GT racing wheel specifically designed to be used with the PS3 game Gran Tursimo 5 Prologue. The wheel has force feedback effects and controls to allow real-time adjustment of car performance.

The best looking Wii Wheel
Mario Kart for the Nintendo Wii will be released on April 27th. Videogame accessory maker Thrustmaster just announced what I think is the best looking Wii Wheel to date.
The Thrustmaster T-Go Kart NW is modeled after a kart steering wheel and is the first to feature a sporty rubber grip.

Mad Catz to Produce Officially Licensed NASCAR Controllers and Racing Wheels

The Gauswheel or Magic Wheel as it's also called is a cool new and fast ride coming from Hungary.
Riding the Gauswheel, You are basically having a bicycle wheel between your legs. Once you push off with one foot, you stand on the Magic Wheel.

Battle Wheels RC Robots Review
Today we are checking out a pair of Battle Wheels remote controlled robots. These RC robots are battery powered and can spin around and move forward and backwards.
With a pair of these robots, you can have your own robot wars. The goal is to hit the button in the center of the robots chest which causes the robots head to pop off. The first robot to lose its head loses the battle. Read more
