Well, if you want a white 8900 anyway and your carrier is AT&T, your (not particularly wild) dream is about to come true, according to Boy Genius. They've got a photo of the new, ultra-pale 8900 and info from an inside source that it will be coming to AT&T very soon.

LG's N2R1 Network Storage Device: Your Little White Box

Data is everything these days. We don't store huge collections of photographs, video tapes, cassettes, and paper notes anymore. Digital is the wisest and easiest way to go. Unfortunately, it too can be vulnerable at times. That's why network storage devices are so important to have. If you're in the market for one right now, you might want to check out the N2R1 from LG. From what Gizmodo says, it looks pretty solid.

The N2R1 stores either 1TB or 2TB of information. It's a WiFi storage device, which means you trade the hassle of having to physically hook it up to your computer for the hassle of long WiFi wait times. LG's new storage device is Windows, Linux, and Mac compatible, has a drive-swapping option, and comes with a DVD/RW.

White iPhone Discoloration Problem Solved

It looks like the rumors of iPhone discoloration and overheating have finally found some resolution. MacRumors.com has just reported that they have an answer to a problem that's plagued the iPhone 3GS since launch.

Apparently the discoloration we previously thought was permanent damage due to overheating is really just caused by contact to 3rd party iPhone cases. As Hardmac reports;

White iPhones Overheating, Turning Brown?

If you are the proud owner of a new, white iPhone 3GS, you might want to be a little more careful with how you use it. A report has popped up of white iPhones suffering from a nasty brownish burnt discoloration after significant periods of use.

The picture is linked above, and you can tell something is definitely wrong with the phone. No one can say for sure, but it certainly looks like it overheated and burnt a little. The user stated that it happened when he was using the GPS and the 3G connection at the same time. If that is the case, than Apple has another potentially big problem on their hands. A glitch like that (if it isn't contained to one or two bad phones) could lead to a major recall, or at least a whole lot of refunds.

Development of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf Halted

Fans of the PC game The Witcher who were anxiously waiting for the PS3 and Xbox version called The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf will be sorry to hear that the development of the game has been stopped.

The French company developing the game, Widescreen Games, was building the title under an agreement with Atari. Game development was halted due to poor finances for the developer and the company is attempting to resolve the financial problems. Read more

Sweet White Pentax K2000 DSLR Kit Available

Many times, there is no color choice at all and you get black only, as is the case with most of the Nikon DSLR cameras. Pentax has a new model of its K2000 DSLR that allows users a new color option. Pentax already unveiled the white DSLR back in 2008.

The K2000 is available for pre-order in a slick looking white color. In white, it looks exactly like the camera an Imperial Storm Trooper would use to shoot images on assignment. The camera includes a pair of white lenses in 18-55 and 50-200. Read more

Apple Ninjas Silently Update White MacBook

For a long time the MacBook Pro was the only MacBook that carried the slick aluminum design Apple was famous for. The much cheaper MacBook labored on with white or black plastic cases. When Apple updated the MacBook line back in October it moved the high-end MacBook versions to a new aluminum chassis.

However, the firm left the white plastic MacBook in the line as the cheapest Apple notebook offering. It seems that Apple has gone back and updated the specs of the white MacBook without making a hubbub about it. Read more
