Nintendo Turns Times Square Military Island into Wii Sports Resort

Nintendo is setting up an urban island getaway in the heart of New York City's times Square on Military Island to celebrate Wii Sports Resort. On July 23, the Manhattan landmark will be turned into an island getaway with a sandy beach, swimming pool, and tropical lounge.

Visitors will also get a change to play Wii Sports Resort before it launches on July 26. The island themes is based on the Wuhu Island location into the game. Nintendo points out that the lounge bar will only serve non-alcoholic drinks. Read more

Wii Sports Resort includes Wii MotionPlus

Nintendo announces the follow-up to Wii Sports called Wii Sports Resort. Wii Sports Resort comes bundled with the new Wii MotionPlus accessory Nintendo already announced yesterday.

The new Wii Sports game takes advantage of the more accurate wrist tracking of the Wii MotionPlus. Read more
