Activision has released their latest movie tie-in video game. This one is based off of the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which reveals the mysterious backstory behind (d'uh) Wolverine. In the game players will control the hirsute mutant as he goes on an exciting journey of self-discovery and vicious clawed violence.

The movie behind the game was most recently famous for being one of the relatively few blockbuster films to leak to the Internet months before their release. Internet torrent sites had a field day with the unfinished under-edit early release.

Wolverine hosts Oscars tonight Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review XMen's Wolverine star actor is taking the stage in the Kodak Theater in LA to host the Oscars 2009 tonight. Hugh Jackman already voted sexiest man alive is supposed to turn around the Oscars and counter the downward trend in audience numbers.

I am not sure if this will work as Hugh Jackman is supposed to sing. He is actually a great singer, but this will not pull XMen fans in front of the TV - trust me. He will most likely sings some broadway musical hits. Read more

The device can pick up stations from more than 15,000 radio stations worldwide. The device supports UPnP allowing users to stream music stored on their PC.

The stand-alone Internet radio capability is via vTuner portal and Wolverine claims the WorldRadio is the most advanced device on the market with maximum worldwide station reach. The speakers are 6-watt and the device has external jacks for headphones or a stereo. Music can be sorted by genre, country. Windows Media Player 11 is used to stream music from a PC. X-Men Origins: Wolverine Gets Release Date Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Fans of the film franchise X-Men will be glad to hear that the spin-off Wolverine film titled X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been given the green light and a release date of May 1, 2009. Hugh Jackman will reprise his role of Wolverine and the director is Gavin Hood.

The film is set to begin shooting later this year. Live Schreiber is reported to be in final talks to play the younger William Stryker. Read more

Wolverine announced a storage/multimedia player today with a 250GB storage capacity. The device has a 250GB HDD, 3.6-inch TFT LCD and measures in at 5.3” x 2.8” x 0.9” and weighs 10.2 ounces.

Those are some pretty small dimensions for a gadget that has so much storage space crammed inside. Other features include a FM tuner and a 7-in-1 card reader that allows storage of photos from digital cameras while on the go. The card reader is compatible with CF, SD & SDHC, MMC, MS, MS-Pro, and XD. Read more
