MSI X-Slim X400 Coming Soon

MSI X-Slim X400 Coming Soon Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review We have talked about the slim MSI X-Slim series netbooks and notebooks before. We first caught a glimpse of the machines at CES in January and the X320 and X340 notebooks were covered back in early April. MSI is reportedly ready to debut a couple of larger X-Slim machines with a 16-inch X600 and 14-inch X400 coming soon.

The 14-inch and 16-inch versions will presumably run the Intel CULV hardware that the X340 takes advantage of, but that isn’t confirmed. The machines will reportedly come in black, white, and silver colors. Read more

IBM Thinkpad X40 upgraded with KingSpec 32GB SSD beats today's Netbooks Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review There are only a few notebooks that age well. The IBM Thinkpad X40 would definitely be one of them if it weren't for the very slow and noisy (clack, clack, clack) 1.8 inch 20GB HDD. Since SSD became affordable I was looking into finding a SSD that would work in my 5 year old Thinkpad X40.
There have been solutions for a while that required you to do some soldering or buy a PATA adapter that works in conjunction with ZIF type 1.8 inch SSD. I am just not into soldering at all. Now a Chinese company called KingSpec is offering drop-in replacement SSD for the IBM Thinkpad X40, X41, and X41T. Read more

E.D.G.E. Acoustics GX400 Gaming Earbuds Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review EDGE Acoustics announced a new set of ear buds aimed at gamers called the GX400. The ear buds use a balanced armature transducer and have a maximum output of 122dB SPL.

Impedance is 27 ohms and the frequency response is 35 – 42dB. The in-ear design allows for industry leading noise isolation according to the maker. EDGE claims that it spent a lot of time to ensure the audio quality of the ear buds helped gamers play better. Read more
