Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Hands-on
Sony Ericsson announced the highly anticipated XPERIA X1 Windows Smartphone in February. The XPERIA X1 is slated for a release in the second half of 2008, but Boy Genius Report already got their hands on the first Sony Ericsson Windows Smartphone.

Sony Ericsson confirms Details on XPERIA X1
We have covered the cool looking Sony XPERIA X1 mobile phone before here at I4U. Sony Ericsson confirmed some details on the phone this week. Sony Ericsson confirmed that the XPERIA will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 and will offer a highly customizable interface using the XPERIA panel.

Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 has been developed to ensure that mobile web communication and multimedia entertainment can be tailored, putting the individual at the heart of the mobile experience in a uniquely personal way," said Rikko Sakaguchi, Head of Portfolio and Propositions, Sony Ericsson. HTC to manufacture XPERIA X1
Sony Ericsson introduced the XPERIA X1 Windows smartphone at the MWC 2008. Apparently Windows handset expert HTC will manufacture the XPERIA X1.
The deal would mark the first top-tier handset vendor for HTC.

Sony Ericsson introduced the XPERIA X1 Windows Mobile smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. The new XPERIA brand gets the same special treatment as the Sony BRAVIA brand with a very cool commercial.
The XPERIA Ad features colorful paper planes flying through a city. In the video you can see the new Sony Ericsson animated Panel Interface in action.

Sony Ericsson launches its first Windows Mobile smartphone with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.
The XPERIA X1 is a cool looking arc slider phone with integrated QWERTY keyboard and 3 inch W-VGA (800x480px) touchscreen.
Sony Ericsson tries to catch up with the Apple iPhone interface with their new panel interface. Additionally the XPERIA™ X1 lets you interact in four different ways: Touch, full QWERTY keyboard, 4-way key and optical joystick.

Nexperia: $20 Philips Mobile Phone
Philips announces to build a mobile phone that will only cost $5 to build and can be sold for $20 to consumers in developing countries.
The ultra low-cost Nexperia Cellular System Solution 5130 will be sampling in Q4 2005.
The low-cost phone will have a black & white screen and will be able to play polyphonic ringtones.
