Samsung HMX20 full HD Camcorder
Samsung introduces new full HD Camcorder in Korea. The HMX20 line (VM-HMX20C, SC-HMX20C) features 10x zoom and a 6.4MP sensor. Samsung already announced the HMX20 (SC-HMX20C) in January in the U.S. and it actually should start shipping this month.
Samsung highlights that the HMX20 camcorders also make great still photos with features found in other high-end photo cameras.

Asus M70 1TB Blu-ray full HD Notebook
Asus announces the new power-house AV notebook M70 with 1TB HDD and Blu-ray drive. Hitachi GST already touted the Asus M70 as the word's first 1TB notebook back in January.
Features of the Asus M70 include 17 inch WUXGA screen (1920x1200px), Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 ~T7700/T8100/T8300/T9300 CPU options, ATI Mobile Radeon HD3650 with 1G VRAM or ATI Mobile Radeon HD3470 with 256MB VRAM graphics, up to 4GB RAM, up to 2x500GB HDD (1TB) and built-in 1.3M pixel swivel webcam.

Sony introduces the world's smallest full HD camcorder dubbed Sony HDR-TG1.

The tiny new Sony full HD camcorder weighs only ten ounces and measures just 1.3 inches wide by 4.7 inches tall by 2.5 inches deep.
The Sony HDR-TG1 records 1920 x 1080px HD video and 4MP digital photos directly to Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo or PRO Duo Mark2 media cards.

NEC Announces 52-inch Full HD TV
NEC announced a new 52-inch LCD HDTV today called the LCD5220. NEC uses a “U” shaped backlight for even lighting and heat distribution in the set. The 5220 is capable of full 1080p resolution.
The TV can also display 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i as well. The bezel of the TV is very thin and the set can be used in a TileMatrix video wall of up to 25 displays. The set is also sealed to keep out smoke, dust, and other contaminants. Read more

Sim2 Modular Full HD Projector
The newest projector from Italian manufacturer SIM2 was announced today. The projector is called the Grand Cinema HT3000 HOST and uses a modular design. The projector portion is compact and the video processor is a separate unit.
The projector uses the latest DLP full HD 1080p chipset. The projector can be linked to the remote video input processor from up to 250 meters or 750 feet. The projector portion of the system only weighs 11kg and measures 435mm square. Read more

Sony announces the HDR-SR12, HDR-SR11 and HDR-SR10 hard drive camcorders, along with the HDR-UX20 and HDR-UX10 DVD camcorders at the CES 2008.

VIZIO 52-inch GV52L Full HDTV Review
When VIZIO became the biggest seller of HDTVs in the U.S. in Q3 of this year, I wondered how well their HDTVs performed. To answer this question today we are looking at the VIZIO GV52L 52-inch HDTV. This set has full 1080p resolution.
VIZIO included four HDMI ports that all support HDCP on the rear so you should be able to connect all your HDMI components without issue. Overall, the VIZIO HDTV performed well in testing. Read more

New Sharp LC-32P1-W, LC-26P1-W and LC-22P1-W Full HD LCD TVs
Sharp announced the Sharp Aquos P-Series LCD HDTV series featuring full HD resolution down to a 22 inch size TV.
Full HD (1920x1080px) on a 22 inch panel is a new technical accomplishment by Sharp. The dot pitch on this TV is 102 ppi.
The contrast ratio of the new Sharp LC-32P1-W, LC-26P1-W and LC-22P1-W is 2000:1, 1500:1, and 1200:1 respectively.

Samsung shows 10mm thin 40 inch Full HD LCD Display
Who needs OLED TVs, if it is possible to make LCD displays as thin as 10mm?
Samsung will show a 40 inch full HD LCD Panel with a stunning 10mm thick canvas at the FPD International 2007.
This new display, expected to usher in the next wave of large-screen TVs, has the same profile as 10-20 inch LCDs designed for desktop monitors. It's bezel has been reduced from a conventional 30mm to 14.6mm. The panel, using an LED backlight, reproduces 92% of the NTSC standard for color saturation and features a low power consumption of 90 watts or less.

Samsung introduces the SP-A800B full HD projector at the IFA 2007.
The new Samsung SP-A800B features 2 HDMI ports, Component (2), S-Video, Composite, a PC input (D-SUB 15 PIN) and RS-232C interface.
The SP-A800B comes with Texas Instrument’s latest 1080p DLP chip. In addition the new projector supports 24p.

IFA 2007: LG shows 60p full HD LCD TVs
LG announces at the IFA 2007 the next generation full HD technology that works with 60 frames per second instead of the currently used 30 frames per second.
60p full HD TVs offer sharper, smoother, and more stable images.
“Many experts, including our own engineers, believed that 1080/60p content would provide far superior picture quality and would eventually become standard in many countries. However, due to numerous technological obstacles, no company had been able to demonstrate the technology. LG, together with NHK, invested more than a year in research, development and production, eventually proving that LG’s full HD TVs are already capable of displaying 60p full HD content,” said Havis Heewon Kwon, head of LCD TV Division, LG Electronics.

HD ready 1080p is the new EICTA Logo for full HD TVs
EICTA finally came up with a logo that identifies TVs with full HD resolution (1920x1080pixels). We all know the HD ready logo. The new one will be "HD ready 1080p" according to Heise (German).
The logo requires that the TV can take 1080p signals over its digital input. The logo does not regulate the 24p mode.

Panasonic introduces a 37 inch full HD LCD TV in Japan. The company is mostly focused on Plasma TVs, but also has a couple of LCD based TVs in their product offering.

New Panasonic PZ750 Full HD Plasma HDTVs
Panasonic announces a new line of full HD Plasma HDTVs dubbed PZ750.
The top of the line is the 65 inch TH-65PZ750SK TV, followed by the 58 inch TH-58PZ750SK, 50 inch TH-50PZ750SK and 42 inch TH-42PZ750SK.
Panasonic of course improved again the picture quality in the new PZ750 series, with better blacks and beige color reproduction. New is also the implementation of 6 speakers to create a full surround sound.

Funai to offer 42 inch full HD TVs in U.S. this Holiday Season
Japanese low priced electronics maker Funai will offer a 42 inch full HD LCD TV this holiday season.
This is actually a move to enter the upscale audiovisual equipment market. Funai experience more and more competition from other Asian electronics manufacturers in the low price electronics market.
In fiscal 2006, Funai sold about 1.5 million LCD TVs in North America.
