How to do iPhone 3G S Video Editing
The iPhone 3G S makes taking video and uploading it to Youtube super easy as the 400% increase of mobile video uploads on Youtube after the iPhone 3G S launch proves. The iPhone 3G S only offers very simple video editing on the device itself. You can only trim the beginning and end of the video.
To improve the quality and entertainment value of your iPhone 3G S videos, a bit of editing like adding titles or transitions would be nice.

iPhone 3G S unlocking Solution delayed by Hackers
Unlocking aka jailbreaking the iPhone is similar to a war. Now the iPhone Dev Team has made a strategic decision to not release the jailbreak solution for the new iPhone 3G S to not give Apple a chance to fix the security hole too early.
As reported yesterday the first images of a jailbroken iPhone 3GS appeared. The iPhone Dev Team says that jailbreaking the iPhone 3G S is technically no problem, but Apple could spoil the party very easily.

The iPhone 3G S is Faster Than The Pre
Poor, poor Palm. They didn't get to run up very much hype before the cold truth slapped them hard in the face. The Palm Pre barely had two weeks as king of the mountain before the 3GS came out and blew its sales away. Now we've got another piece of bad news for Palm. A series of load-time tests seems to show rather conclusively that the 3GS is faster than the Palm Pre by a noticeable margin.
These tests, conducted by Anandtech, show the 3GS's domination over the T-Mobile G1, the iPhone 3G, and the Palm Pre. The new iPhone loads websites roughly 11% faster than the Pre, 54% faster than the old 3G iPhone, and about twice as fast as my beloved G1. The 3GS launches applications between 13-42% faster than the 3G, depending on the app. It's also roughly two to four times faster at app launching than the pre. The G1 again comes in last place with everything but Google maps. Boo-yah.

Sound Problems on the iPhone 3G S?
The new iPhone 3GS has pretty much been kicking butt in every possible way that a new smartphone can. It's going to pull in well over 500,000 sales on its opening weekend and critics and customers alike are raving about its new features and improved speed. We'd almost started to think that there couldn't possibly be a chink in the mighty new iPhone's armor.
Then we heard about this. Boy Genius has reported that multiple users are experiencing sound issues with their new iPhone. Apparently right after a sound file is played the iPhone starts to play a continuous, high-frequency tone. They claim this tone is at around 15 Khz, which means it is too high for some people to even hear. For those who can, it is quite annoying.

Apple iPhone 3G S 32GB Review
The iPhone 3G S ships tomorrow and we already published an iPhone 3G S Review Round-up earlier today. Our review partner Digital Trends just finished this iPhone 3G S 32GB review.
Quote: "The third time's the charm for the new iPhone 3G S, the latest addition to Apple Inc.'s successful smartphone family that has sold more than 20 million units in less than two years. Perhaps you were one of the many who tuned in online to Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) to witness the unveiling of the handset (the "S" stands for speed, by the way).

iPhone 3G S Review Round-up
The new iPhone 3G S ships this Friday, but the main tech reviewers have had theirs a while now and yesterday they published their findings in iPhone 3G S reviews.
The overall verdict of the new iPhone 3G S is that it is definitely faster but is not that much different overall compared to the iPhone 3G. Current iPhone 3G customers, who are not total power users can actually skip the iPhone 3G S. On the other hand the iPhone 3G S is the best iPhone yet and if you like me enter the iPhone realm for the first time, the iPhone 3G S is the way to go.

iPhone 3G S are not arriving early, Apple holds them back
Yesterday reports about early iPhone 3G S deliveries appeared. Now Apple told UPS according to user reports on Engadget to delay the shipments of the iPhone 3G S to arrive on June 19th and not earlier.
This is kind of disappointing for those who have seen an earlier shipping date for their new toy on the package tracking system.

Unlocked iPhone 3G S Video and Info Out
The wait for a sexy new smartphone can be interminable. Thankfully we've got some hot new info and a cool video to tide you over while you wait for your 3GS to come in the mail. A Brazilian tech site managed to get ahold of an early 3GS and unlock it. They've posted the video here. Even if you can't understand what the narrator is saying, it's a cool glimpse at the new iPhone and its compass app.
We've also got some new information about the 3GS straight from MacRumors.com. First off, we can now confirm the resolution that the 3GS takes photos in; 2048x1536. We also have our first feedback on the new olephobic screen, which seems to do a great job reducing the annoyance of fingerprints on your phone screen. The new iPhone's video recording quality is listed as just 'okay', so there is one sour pill to swallow with all the i-candy Apple fans have been getting lately.

iPhone 3G S Will Ship On Time
If you read the troubling news yesterday that AT&T was already sold out of their first batch of iPhones and panicked, we've got some good news for you. While it is apparently true that AT&T stores have already run through their initial stock, Apple appears to have enough to keep going.
You might not be able to pick up an iPhone 3GS from an AT&T store on launch day, but every single Apple pre-order should be shipped to arrive on June 19th. Thankfully for all of the iPhone fans out there, Apple was ready for this launch. The low cost of the 3GS when compared to the 2G iPhone's launch may seem jarring, but it's really just the result of Apple's new business plan.

The launch of the new Apple iPhone 3G S will be different than for the previous two iPhone models. Right after the announcement at the WWDC 2009 you can already pre-order a new iPhone 3G S at the Apple store and a bit later on AT&T.
BGR reports that their sources tell them that the initial batch of iPhone 3G S at AT&T is already sold out. If you have not already pre-ordered you would have to wait 1-2 weeks longer for the new iPhone 3G S.

iPhone 3G S has confirmed 600Mhz CPU and 256MB RAM
Apple does not like to talk about the CPU and RAM on the technical specifications of the iPhone 3G S for some reason. But we are geeks we want to know what is under the hood. Apple just says the new iPhone 3G S is 2x faster than the iPhone 3G.
T-Mobile of the Netherlands did what is right and published on their iPhone 3G S specifications page the CPU speeds and RAM. The new iPhone 3G S has a 600Mhz CPU instead of 400Mhz found in the iPhone 3G and RAM got doubled to 256MB.

AT&T iPhone 3G S Upgrade Cost still not clear
Current AT&T iPhone 3G costumers who do not qualify for an upgrade need to pay $200 more for the new iPhone 3G S than new AT&T customers.
The new iPhone 3G S with 16GB would then cost $399 and the 32GB version will even have a $499 price-tag.
I totally understand that AT&T charging extra as existing iPhone 3G customers got their phone subsidized. AT&T needs to recoup that subsidy through the life time of the contract.
What I do not understand is that AT&T is not clearly communicating the rules for early upgrade eligibility. According to the NY Times it varies by customer.

The iPhone 3G S aka 3GS: Same Look but New Insides
Well, the WWDC keynote has ended and the iPhone 3GS has been announced for release in less than two weeks. We've seen our first official images of the 3GS and we can now confirm that virtually every rumor about the design of the new iPhone was 100% wrong. No rubber back, no light-up Apple logo, and no front-facing camera. The new iPhone looks almost identical to the last one.
That's not a bad thing, of course. The old (and current) iPhone design is perfectly suitable for the product. It's slender, slick-looking and as ergonomic as any other smartphone. Hardware and app capabilities were obviously much greater concerns for Apple.
