Direct-to-iPhone Video Publishing App Debuts
Apple's WWDC is still running today. Most of us lost interest after the new Apple products including the iPhone 3G S were unveiled at the show. A company called Sorenson Media has announced a new video publishing tool that lets bloggers, video pros, and content creators make video that can be published directly to the iPhone.
The solution is called the Sorenson 360 Video Delivery Network. The solution allows small to medium businesses and other users create and encode video that can swiftly and easily be published in the highest video quality to the internet for viewing on the iPhone. Read more

iPhone Video Name rumored for new iPhone 2009
It is still hard to guess what Apple will be naming the new iPhone. It is going to be the 3rd generation iPhone. Apple could have just kept calling it iPhone like it does on its other product lines. Still for the iPhone Apple started using different names with original iPhone and iPhone 3G.
TUAW breaks a rumor that apparently Apple is planning to call the new iPhone 2009 iPhone Video. The guys tie in the leaked iPhone placeholders at Carphone Warehouse that list iPhones with the V3 moniker. I would think V3 means version 3, but of course it could also mean Video 3.

DreamCatcher Launches iPhone Video Recorder
There were a few things that Apple left out of the iPhone that really made iPhone users wonder what Apple was thinking. Like 3G connectivity the first time around, GPS capability and full fledged Bluetooth. Another thing the iPhone was lacking to go along with its camera was the ability to record video. DreamCatcher has fixed the lack of video recording for the iPhone with its iPhone Video Recorder.
The application allows the iPhone to record video and sound in compressed MPEG4 format. An hour long video in the format will require only 60MB of storage. The application can’t muster full motion 30 fps video and makes due with 15 fps. The application encodes the video at the end of a recording session and the encoding can be paused if needed. 20 minutes to spare? Watch the Apple iPhone Video Tour
Apple published a high quality video tour of the Apple iPhone featuring all the gory functional details of the mobile phone revolution.
The video is a great training to be ready to use the iPhone right away when you get one this Friday.
It also explains to first use one finger to type on the virtual keyboard and then later as you get more trained use two thumbs. Not sure why this is a good idea. If you are a 'Crackberry' you just should continue the two thumbs typing.
