T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Edition Delayed?
If you're a big fan of Fender guitars (or just want to seem like one) you've probably looked at the upcoming myTouch 3G Fender edition. This custom version of the myTouch 3G is more than just a change of skin. It has more RAM (288 MB total) than its forebearer, in addition to a 16 GB SD card and a 3.5 MM headphone jack. The Fender edition was originally due out this holiday season. Unfortunately, the odds of it actually making that launch now seem unlikely.

Whoopi Goldberg & Other Celebrities Endorse myTouch 3G
T-Mobile is about to roll out with a brand new series of commercials featuring a cast of celebrities endorsing the myTouch 3G Android smartphone. Talk Android has a copy of the first of these commercials, which features Whoopi Goldberg, Phil Jackson, & Jesse James. More ads and purchase information for the smartphone ($199 w/2 year contract) can be found on the T-Mobile website here.
The main selling point in these ads appears to be the myriad of customization options available to users who pick the myTouch 3G (or any Android smartphone, really). I've got no doubts that a star-studded ad campaign will fetch a fortune for T-Mobile. But, if you're looking to grab a new Android smartphone, I'd hold off for a little bit.

Quote from the review: "Warning: This review is not as in-depth as we would like, so we will be updating it when we can. We got a chance to fiddle with the second-ever U.S. Android phone, the T-Mobile myTouch 3G made by HTC, for around 45 minutes at an introductory event yesterday. Geodelic is behind the slick Sherpa feature of the new myTouch 3G mobile phone for T-Mobile. The Sherpa application allows users of the phone to access locally relevant information right on their phone. As it is used more, the information provided becomes more customized to the user's tastes and prioritizes content based on the tastes of the user.
Sherpa uses the GENIE learning engine to learn a user's favorite locations and lifestyle behaviors. For instance, a user who eats out more than they show will get content showing more restaurants and less retail stores. Read more
