Belkin Unveils New iPod touch Cases to Raise Money for Cancer Research

Belkin has announced a couple of new cases for the iPod touch that will help raise money for breast cancer research by donating a portion of the proceeds to research. The two cases are the DualFit for the Cure and the Grip for the Cure.

The DualFit case fits arms any size and has a clear screen protector. Other features of the case include a key pocket and the case is covered in a reflective material for nighttime use. The other case is called the Grip for the Cure. Read more

New iPod touch 32GB Only Outsold By Kindle On Amazon

Apple unveiled the new faster and cheaper iPod touch 3G about two weeks ago. Amazon is selling the iPod touch 32GB for $20 less and than the Apple store and ships it for free of course.
This sales price helped catapult the new iPod touch 32GB to the #2 spot on the Bestsellers in Electronics list.
Only the new 6-inch Kindle sells better. The Kindle owns this spot, but Amazon also does everything to promote it. The Amazon homepage has had a huge placement for the Kindle for the longest time. Read more

Zune HD Ships Today; New iPod touch 3G Cheaper On Amazon

The Microsoft Zune HD ships today. The 32GB Zune HD sells for $289.97 on Amazon.com. Apple has unveiled a new generation of iPod touch players last week. The new iPod touch players have a faster processor (iPhone 3GS CPU) and there is now a 64GB version.
If you are not into apps then the Zune HD is actually a nice portable media player sporting an OLED touchscreen, cool UI and the NVIDIA Tegra CPU. Though the new Apple iPod touch is selling for less money on Amazon at least. The iPod touch 32GB 3rd Generation sells for only $279.99 on Amazon.com. Read more

New iPod Touch Has No Camera Because It Is A Game Console

The biggest disappointed (possibly the only one) from yesterday's Apple Event was the lack of video cameras in the new iPod touch.
Apple only lowered the pricing and introduced a 64GB iPod touch. The new iPod nano got a video camera that can only record video and not take photos.

In an interview with David Pogue, Steve Jobs said that Apple is marketing the iPod touch as a gaming console and it was important to keep the price as low as possible. That is why there is no camera in the iPod touch. Read more

New iPod Touch 2009 with Video Camera Rumor intensifies

The rumored new iPod touch is supposed to feature a camera that allows users to take photos and record video like on the iPhone 3GS. The rumored new iPod is seen to be released in September.

Last week we reported that the first iPod touch 3G cases appeared with holes for a camera. More cases are surfacing all with different hole designs, which of course means case designers do not know the final design of the new iPod touch yet.

How do you generate traffic for a shop? Publish an accessory for an upcoming rumored Apple product and you are on your way.
We got a news tip from Jenny, who also tipped CrunchGear about a new iPod touch 3G case offered on the UXSight shop (Thanks to Jenny anyway).

The red silicone case has two holes in the back which are according to the product description of the case for a camera. Yes, the rumored upcoming iPod touch 3G (3rd generation) would have a camera, which would actually be a reasonable new feature for the iPod touch.

The Apple rumor mill has no brakes and just when we have our new iPhone 3G S phones in our hands the rumors about a new iPod touch 2009 kick in.
The source of the rumor about a new iPod touch 3G (3rd Generation) is actually Apple's fault. The final release of the new iPhone 3.0 software update contains the string "iPod3,1" according to MacRumors and a iPod touch fans forum post. The current iPod touch is identified by "iPod2,1".

New iPod touch Clone from Korean Tomato

Looks like some DAP companies have fun designing new music players that unmistakably feature the elements of the Apple iPod touch and even announce it officially.

There are already lots of cheap fake iPod touch players on the market as you can see on eBay. I am not sure if the new one also imitates the iPone/touch user interface.


The new Video Touch from Korean Tomato features a 2.5 inch QVGA touchscreen and comes with either 2GB or 4GB of flash memory.
The Tomato Video Touch plays MP3, WMA, WAV, and APE / FLAC lossless. Read more
