Sen. John Walsh (D-Mont.) is in trouble. Well, he was in trouble (electorally speaking), then he got into a lot of trouble (ethically speaking). And now he's making it worse. It's been about 24 hours since the New York Times's Jonathan Martin broke the story about Walsh's pretty apparent plagiarism in a 14-page paper Walsh wrote for his master's degree in 2007. By Thursday afternoon, Walsh's campaign sent out a "fact sheet" laying out its side of things. ...

Tony Dungy still can't stop talking about Michael Sam.
On Monday, Tony Dungy said that Michael Sam would be a "distraction" and that he would not have drafted him because, "I wouldn't want to deal with all of it." And after his second media response (the first on Tuesday) to the issue — this time on the Dan Patrick Show — Tony Dungy is still the only person making Michael Sam a distraction, using some weird justification for his ...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Surrounded by more media than an offensive lineman normally attracts, John Jerry knew what questions were coming.

The only offensive lineman back from last year’s core group is Mike Pouncey, as Incognito and Martin are both gone and so are John Jerry, Bryant McKinnie and Tyson… ...

The San Francisco 49ers’ mandatory minicamp wrapped up on Thursday, with the defense clearly ahead of the offense.
This isn’t stunning, considering the 49ers are missing Vernon Davis and Alex Boone from holdouts, and that most of the starting receivers have missed some time or another throughout OTAs, be it from injury or just rest for some of the veterans. It’s tempting to be disappointed by the offense’s showing, considering Colin Kaepernick’s new contract ...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Panthers offensive lineman Andrew McDonald said he expects to return to training camp next month after undergoing surgery in May for testicular cancer.
McDonald said Wednesday that doctors expect him to make a full recovery. McDonald was “Player A” in a report on the Miami Dolphins’ bullying scandal this year that indicated he was among those bullied.
McDonald didn’t have any symptoms, but noticed a “bump on his skin” on one of his testicles and met wit ...
