1 critical in HWY 24 Accident

TOPEKA (KSNT) – One man was in critical condition late Tuesday night following a two car accident in Topeka. The Topeka Police Department says the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 24 and Kansas Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night. Legislators will try to “expedite” death penalty appeals

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Several Kansas state legislators say they will try again in the upcoming session to push through a measure to expedite death penalty appeals. Skin cancer on the rise

(NBC News)  Acting Surgeon General Boris Lushniak has issued a “call to action” to prevent skin cancer. 63,000 people are diagnosed with melanoma each year, and of those 9,000 die. Experts say UV radiation from sunlight or tanning beds is the biggest cause. Doctors say consumers need to be vigilant about using a broad spectrum sunscreen and reapply it every few hours. TOPEKA (KSNT) – The final round of the City Junior Golf Championships began with a stacked leaderboard on both the girls and guys sides. Topeka tiger cubs explore new territory

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Three new tiger cubs checked out some new surroundings at the Topeka Zoo Tuesday morning.
