If you pre-ordered Elmo Live back in August when we first told you to do so, you should be receiving it soon. At least Wal-mart had a October 14th shipping date for the first batch of Elmo Live they sold for $59.88. Now Elmo Live is Out of Stock on Wal-mart and on Amazon it has been sold out since September.
Elmo Live sealed in boxes are already populating eBay in a big way. The price is around $100.

Sony PSP-3000 started to ship

The latest version of the Sony PSP (PSP-3000) started shipping yesterday from Amazon. The PSP-3000 is one of our Top 100 Gadget Holiday Gift Tips.
As reported the first option to get your hands on a PSP-3000 is with the Limited Edition Ratchet and Clank Entertainment Pack. The pack features a silver PSP-3000, Ratchet and Clank Size Matters game, echochrome game, National Treasure 2 UMD, and 1GB memory stick.
The new Sony PSP-3000 has a brighter screen that is more usable outdoors and an integrated microphone.

Nokia Productions and Spike Lee premiere the World's first social Film

Nokia today announced that the premiere of Nokia Productions, the first user generated multimedia film, will be held tonight at 8:45 pm PST at the Nokia Plaza- LA Live with a simultaneous online premiere.
T-Mobile USA, Inc. partnered with Nokia to develop the Nokia Productions film which was built entirely by everyday people, using mobile devices to generate and submit original content which was then combined into one artistic multimedia film created by Director Spike Lee.

Apple Store is down in Anticipation of new MacBooks

Here we go again. The Apple Store just went down. Same procedure as every last time. In a couple of hours Apple will introduce new notebook computers.
The rumors have run wild for months now. Today we will see which MacBook, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air will be found under the Christmas tree this year.

Multiplayer Xbox 360 Beta for Call of Duty: World at War Launches

Activision has announced that the multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War is now available for download for the Xbox 360. To get into the beta you need a token, which can be acquired in two ways. The first way is to pre-order the game at GameStop and a token is provided.
The second way is to register at Callofduty.com and wait to see if you get a token. The beta includes Team Death Match, FFA, Capture the Flag, and War modes. Maps included are Castle, Makin, and Roundhouse. Activision says a multiplayer beta for PC gamers is coming soon. Read more

In just a couple hours Apple will unveil their new MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks. New leaked photos of the alleged MacBook Pro show a modular design that will enable you to remove the battery and hard-drive.

Daring Fireball has a lengthy report which contains lots of predictions that sound pretty reasonable. Apple is set to announce a new 15 inch MacBook Pro and new 13.3 inch MacBooks, which look like MacBook Pros.

Acer Unveils PC with Phenom X3 and a 24-inch LCD

Acer has unveiled a new desktop PC that uses its recently announced Phenom X3 CPU. The Acer Aspire X3200 desktop can be outfitted with the Phenom X3 CPU, Blu-ray, NVIDIA graphics and more. The system is compact at 10.4" H x 4" W x 14.4" L. Other features include 640GB HDD and 4GB of RAM. Blu-ray is included for $679.99.
Acer also announced a new P244W 24-inch LCD with a low retail price of $339. The display supports a native and maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is odd for a 24-inch LCD. The typical native and max resolution for a 24-inch LCD is 1920 x 1200. Read more

Mitsubishi is set to ship the first Laser TV LaserVue. Over a week ago we featured a report about the LaserVue World premier at a Texas store
Then Time magazine published what can be called the first LaserVue review. Although the review does not really convey anything about the Laser TV we did not know already.
We know already that the 65 inch LaserVue uses less power and has a wider color gamut than any other flatscreen out there. The MSRP of the first Laser TV is $6,999 - Early adopting always costs a lot.

Spore Gets New Content, Gameplay, and Tools

Spore has been on the market long enough now for gamers everywhere to get to the space stage and really enjoy the game. EA has announced that it will be introducing expansion and booster packs to add new elements to the game.
EA has announced that a Space stage expansion pack is being developed alongside a Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack that allows players to design characters that are either cartoon cute or creepy monsters. The Space stage expansion pack is the most interesting to me. Read more

Rock Band Stage Kit Offers Light and Smoke

I like Rock Band and the more I play it the more I see the value in accessories to make the game more fun. I'm not sure if I'd go all the way to adding smoke and light effects, but later this month you can if you want.
PDP has announced that its Rock Band Stage Kit for Xbox 360 will be available on October 26th for $99. The kit will work with both Rock Band and Rock Band 2. Included in the kit are a light strobe and a smoke device that are synchronized to the music. Exactly why the Stage Kit is limited to the Xbox only is unknown. Read more
