Verdict
If you can find the BFG 8600 GTS OC at the online price of $219 it is the best deal of the 8600 GTS bunch that I have tested. Performance wise it gives up a bit to the XFX 8600 GTS XXX, but at the $219 price it is $20 cheaper than the XFX card. All in all the BFG 8600 GTS OC performs well and would make a great media center or gaming card if you shop around for the best price.
