There's only one story that could warrant two question marks in the title, and it could be nothing else than something that deals with the Nintendo Wii. We've known for a while that pesky Nintendo, famously known for keeping the Wii launch details concealed, will finally spill the beans in August, but we had no idea exactly when and where.
Speculation came up that Nintendo might re-introduce their company-specific Spaceworld event to tell all, but Nintendo has now officially shot down those rumors. However, we do know that Nintendo is making a presence at the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany. In fact, they have a presentation specifically about the Wii.The conference, called "Wii Prove our Promise" will be held on August 23, and right now is the most likely place for Nintendo to announce everything we've all been waiting for for so long.
As if the rumor mill wasn't full enough already, Nintendo also had to entice us with another little nugget. Nintendo of America's PR manager (the guy who has to put a spin on everything), Matt Atwood, said that Super Mario Galaxies could be a launch title. Of all the titles I got a chance to try out at E3, this title was the one I was most excited about, so if it comes out at launch I'll be ecstatic.
Though, I shouldn't be getting my hopes up too high. Apparently, the only thing Atwood officially said about the issue is, "anything is possible." And we've got to believe that. I mean, if the performer known as Prince can win a lifetime achievement award, then Super Mario Galaxies can make the Wii launch. Right?
