German Company plawa secured the AgfaPhoto brand from AgfaPhoto Holding GmbH and released the AgfaPhoto DC-735 camera.

plawa is already offering Polaroid branded digital cameras.
Agfa has been one of the most prominent names in the photography industry for over a century. There is of course value to use these old defunct brands. Personally I hate it. It is somehow fooling people who do not know that Agfa failed to adopt the digital revolution.
On the other hand lots of active brands get put on products the brand owner is not actually making without us knowing about it. The first AgfaPhoto camera is the 7 Megapixel AgfaPhoto DC-735 digital compact camera. The AgfaPhoto 735 features 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, a metal housing, rechargeable Lithium Ion battery and a 2.5-inch LCD monitor.
