Samsung announced the new BD-P1200 Blu-ray player.

The BD-P1200 follows Samsung's first Blu-ray player BD-P1000.
Samsung improved audio and video quality on the BD-P1200, but who cares. Blu-ray only players are dead. Either you get a Sony PS3, or get a dual format HD player like the new LG BH100 Super Multi Blue Player.

It is actually surprising that so far nobody besides LG announced a dual HD format disc player. Why is only LG able to pull this off?LG's Super Multi Blue Player (BH100), available to U.S. consumers during the first quarter of 2007, is expected to sell for about U.S. $1,199.
The current Samsung BD-P1000 already has a price-tag of $799.99. The new one will be most likely around $1,000 again. Why play not play it save and get a player that plays HD DVD and Blu-ray. This way you are on the winning side.
