3V has discovered that 4 out of 10 Britons are concerned about online fraud. Their survey has also revealed that 48% of online shoppers are skeptical of using their credit and debit cards online; and one out of seven people knew someone who had been ripped off by internet criminals. Fraud expert Professor Martin Gill reports that fraudsters increasingly turning to fake credit and debit cards fraud online.He states, "With the introduction of chip-and-pin on the high street, fraudsters have turned to other means to make their money. The internet is a dangerous place to be giving out personal information without taking basic precautions."
