One manfucturer, Fujitsu , recalculated their published energy consumption figures for all of their flagship plasma screen TV’s. Their 63” TV cost over £600 a year based on sust-it. After recalculating this figure, Fujitsu has brought the figure down to £209.08 a year, which is still too high. This case focuses on the need for manufacturers to make energy efficiency a focal selling point. But, with increasing aware consumers and websites like sust-it, we will be seeing more energy-conscious manufacturers and less negative impact on the environment.
