Toshiba’s HD-E1 and HD-XE1 HD DVD players have arrived in Europe and are the first dedicated HD DVD Players ever released in the PAL region.

Here are some of the features these black, sleek HD DVD’s have: Support the playback of HD DVD, DVD, DVD-R, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW and CD formats; video output up to 1080i, including up scaling of SD sources to 1080i and 720p; Ethernet port supports internet connectivity for access to additional HD DVD feature content; sleek, slim line design; audio support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS, DTS-HD and Linear PCM; and HDMI, composite, S-video and component video outputs; and digital optical and 2ch analogue outputs.
