BBC partners with Youtube

The BBC partnered with Google's Youtube to offer three channels on the video sharing platform: BBC, BBC Worldwide and BBC News.

The BBC's director general, Mark Thompson, called the deal a "ground-breaking partnership" that would "engage new audiences in the UK and abroad".
BBC sees the relationship as a promotional venue for them.
Most content will be short excerpts from shows. The BBC News channel will launch later this year.
