The Sunday Times reported yesterday that Scotland Yard has found evidence that Al-Qaeda was planning to bring down the Internet in the UK.

Apparently the terrorists wanted to hit a high security hub in the London Docklands. Arrested subjects also targeted apparently colocator Telehouse Europe.
The plans have been already uncovered end of last year.
It is not quite clear what magnitude of disruption of the UK internet such an attack would cause.
