While many excited (and extremely patient) Europeans will be clamoring to get their PS3 this Friday at midnight, specialty store HMV is teaming up with Sega to provide a launch event at its Oxford location for the second round of launch madness in the mid-morning hours.

Though dozens of HMV stores will be participating in midnight events, the Oxford store will wait until 7:30 AM. As an incentive, people who buy the console there will receive a free copy of Virtua Tennis 5, courtesy of Sega.Other promotional events, mostly Sega-centric promos, will take place at the store throughout the day. The wait is almost over, and now it's just a matter of seeing which store will be the one to watch. HMV is trying to be that store, at least on a day-long perspective.
