A hot model sitting on a toilet with her panties down is a very strange cover image for a Sony Playstation Life-style magazine. The print magazine is distributed for free in hip restaurants and bars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Consoul magazine is planned as a monthly life-style magazine. The first issue with 500,000 copies is already distributed.

The magazine fits into the "This is Living" marketing concept of Sony. On the thisisliving site, there is a promo video that also briefly features the model on the Consoul cover photo.

Sony Europe developed the magazine with German Agency 25 based in Cologne.
At least the Consoul cover image was controversial enough to get the U.S. gaming community buzzing (PS3fanboy, Joystiq, Kotaku, see also Sony's Three Speech, the Sony connected blog might have brought the news over the pond) about it.
If it helps sell PS3 consoles in Europe, I am not sure. Especially considering the story on the I4U UK Edition about Amazon UK giving £20 rebate on Sony PS3 bundles. PS3 supply seems to be no issue right now in Europe; A very different picture to the U.S. Sony PS3 launch.
